I have them done by Craig. If not done correctly they can re-grow within weeks. I had so many people with my last litter request that they NOT be removed, that I have left them on these pups. None of this litter are destined for the ring. Peoples attitudes are changing. The general public are beginning to see little difference between docking tails and removing dew-claws. Must say it disappoints me a little.

Tootin' Soup??? ...I'm intrigued.

Geez Louise! You have been in the wars too! Between you and tlc, I reckon you've had about every ailment going 'round! Hope things improve for you soon, Tenties. I ran into tlc today and it would appear she is finally on the mend! I think I'm getting a cold.

What, today? Nope. I've been busy here in the 'Bool today. I did go past the weekend before last in the Tribute and let the air-horns rip outside your place!

Hey All! Haven't got time to read everything nor chat, but Mawson to answer your question... The Aqua-Life Van was 'wrapped' by Fusion Signs - 55610444. Tristan got quotes from every signage contractor in town and Fusion were the cheapest AND easiest to deal with. I am also employing James at Fusion to do the Repti-Life store next week, and to wrap our Van in a couple of months. Our Mitsubishi is going to be wrapped by a coiled Green Tree Python... should look bloody awesome! It's not cheap though, I think Tristans little Van was about $800 and mine will be in the vicinity of $1400. The whales idea sounds brilliant though... I reckon you should do it!

Happy Birthday Tanya! Hope you got extra big licks from Bruno.

What? Was the Nationals on TODAY??? I thought it was over the weekend! Sorry you didn't have any success.... always sucks to come home with nothing after driving all that way, making all those arrangements and spending all that money. Why do we do it??? Hang on... I DON'T do it anymore!!! Safe trip home.

A young fella served me... didn't get his name. Good service though! Fitout is not happening! I am going to start painting monday morning and then we can start other things after that. Can't really do much until everything starts to arrive, really, and that's not until the 13th. Gonna be a very busy 2 weeks from then! I had a lot of trouble finding a suitable shop counter. Most were too large and took up way to much room, but I found one at the Salvo's for $30! Nothing wrong with it and I am going to paint it to match our feature wall and it should look brand new! I have launched our "temporary" website yesterday. I used a free DogzOnline template until October when we hope to launch our full website and online store. You can check it out HERE if you're interested. The signwriter reckons he'll start next week and finish the week after so it will start looking like a shop after that! Sorry to hear you are taking more time off work. Hope you improve faster soon.

Red Dog is a true story. I was given the book Red Dog many years ago and it is such an awesome story. While living in central WA I took some time to visit all the places Red trecked around to, including Dampier etc. I have been waiting for years to see the movie, ever since there was talk of the book being made into a film. Can't wait!

Well I went to Bunnings today to get some advice (and paint!) from the "Queen of Paint". ;) Unfortunately the paint dept expert was not there so I had to deal with someone else. Still, I picked up some lovely "Jungle Green" paint! :D

All good now thanks Monah... besides a little shaved patch on his neck he's no worse for wear.

Prime Pet Foods may have his number too...

Yep Gary is still operating from the rooms at the track. I'm not sure what days he is there, but you know he's there when the green door on the end of the building is open.

Jorja is lovely. I'm sure you wont have any trouble finding a great home for her. Does the Cav Club have a puppy registrar? We had a scare earlier in the week. Chantel noticed one of the pups had a swelling on his neck/throat, resembling an abscess but 'hard'. Thought it looked like a bee sting, but no way it could have been. I am not one to panic, so I just monitored him closely, paying close attention to his breathing. In time, the lump got larger, but still didn't affect his breathing or swallowing. In the end, I called our Vet after hours, who confirmed us 'almost' right, by suggesting it sounded like a spider bite. Not much can be done, and it will dissipate in time. Chantel then remembered she had seen a TINY baby white-tail spider near the whelping box some time earlier. By morning, the lump had reduced and all seemed well. But we came home this afternoon to find the pup looking like the back-end of a bus! He had developed a huge abscess. So, we have just returned from having it drained, shots of AB's, and more AB's to inject him with twice a day for a week. Not the best start for the little bugger! Glad he's ok though.

Cool... I "like" the sound of that.

No worries. But they should know that none of these stores are as good as we are going to be. I have visited every reptile store/ semi-specialist in Victoria, and many in South Australia, and besides one in Adelaide, we will have the biggest range of the best brands available as well as a large selection of livestock. They may be best to wait. ;)
-
Tell them "Totally Reptiles" on St James Road in Rosanna is very good too.
-
Yes they will need permits for any sort of Dragon or snake... tell them by the time they have them, Repti-Life will be open! But if they want to check out a really cool place, Victorian Reptiles on Elm Park Drive, Hoppers Crossing. They will need to look for signs, as VR are set back away in a warehouse. It's on their way home, too. Adam will look after them if they tell him "that snake guy from Warrnambool sent them". ;) I will be working pretty closely with Victorian Reptiles through our store. Or, Amazing Amazon on Springvale road Glen Waverley is worth a look. After us, it's probably the 2nd best Reptile Store in Vic.

They are probably going to buy off Roy Pails. He's VERY expensive! There are better places, closer than Ballarat. Probably shouldn't be saying that though!

If I Died - Dog Retirement Villages?

Yep. The Casanova Kennels in Coldstream offer such a service. It started off as promises to some of their special customers but ended up quite popular. They are not 'kenneled' as such, but have lots of room to run, get lots of love in idyllic surrounds. I haven't spoken to Terry or Angela for a couple of years, but last I heard they were still doing it. Lovely people. I'm sure a google will find them. Edited to add... HERE YOU GO! -
Jess is much better and we've sent her to school today. We'll see how she goes. The DSE wont hand our license over until they have inspected out livestock holding enclosures. These are being built in Melbourne right now but wont be delivered until August 13. Inspection will be after that. I can't buy or sell any animals until such time, I'm afraid. All the snakes I have under my private license are breeding pairs for us, and aren't for sale. I have lots of livestock 'on hold' at the moment, all over the place, but nothing I can deal with yet.

Beautiful puppies, Cav!

Glad you're on the mend tlc... gonna take a while though. Jess hasn't been in to see her Dr yet. Her teacher sent her home yesterday due to asthma and we kept her home today and she seems to be much improved this afternoon. Chantel reckons it sounds just like I did when I had Whooping Cough, but I'm not so sure. We'll keep her home and warm again tomorrow and see how she goes. If she starts going downhill we shall get her to her Dr. Jess is a chronic asthmatic but you can't rush her off to see the Dr every-time she develops a cough or shortness of breath. We know how to manage it very well, and when to be concerned and seek help. We also know never to treat asthma lightly... a friend of ours died a few months ago because he was too late calling for help when he had an asthma 'attack', and he was in his early 20's. Asthma is often inherited, Chantel has asthma although it is very well managed these days, but unfortunately little Jemma has it too, and has been hospitalized twice for days at a time, and she's only 18 months old. Hopefully she never gets as bad as Jess. Asthma is pretty awful as it stops them being able to just play like kids, we always find ourselves saying "Stop running Jess" "Calm down Jess" "Do your breathing Jess" and she hates it! Still, it's better to try and manage it now rather than leave it until she's older.

Yep. As you know tlc, I tried to educate some of these peiople who obviously have no clue, sometimes politely, sometimes not. In the end I just removed myself from the pages as it was making me both angry and upset. Worst thing is that they ask for help, but if they don't like your answer they just get stuck into you! You can't educate people who already know everything.

Agreed. Totally.
