  1. Hello, Midge seems to love her frisbees a little too much and I want to buy a few more. Anyone knows a good online seller? Thanks!
  2. Sorry to hear that. I requested a sample from them a while ago and I am still waiting
  3. Look t the bag to see where it's made. Most of Royal Canin available in Australia is from Europe not US.
  4. Thank you Faolmor, it means a lot to me coming from you. I really appreciate all your help.
  5. Hello, I just wanted to say that I have been working on my leaderhip as well as on the "give" command. After only 2 days Laffi stopped growling and gives me everything I want (toys, bones, pig's ears) at the "give" command. Last Tuesday (a week after the incident) at the puppy school she was perfect, which was the biggest test: to see how she behaves around other dogs. THANK YOU everybody, laffi and maria
  6. How did you figure out what to give each one of them? How come not all of them are on the same brand of food ?(not necessarily same type though, like they all could be on Nutrience but different type for different needs)
  7. :p Did you suspect anything? Where there any symptoms like was he a little stiff?
  8. This is VERY CLEAR and easy to follow advice. :D and
  9. I have a 3 month old golden retriever girl. I feed her Royal Canin Lab Junior (I get it online, it's much cheaper and more convenient). She is eating it like no tomorrow and she looks stunning. I changed her diet within few days of getting her.
  10. The two "bad influence" dogs are gone and I have been working on Laffi for a couple of days. Since the first day of training I don't even get a growl from her. When she has food (bone, pig's ears) and I come she either simply stops eating and drops it (and I can pick it up) or she stills chews on it but I can take it from her. When I approach her she doesn't even try to run away anymore (to hide her possessions like she and the other dogs used to). So that's definitely an improvement. The only thing I worry about it that the fact that she is so obedient to me doesn't mean she would we like this with everybody. That's probably the only reason why I would even consider about leaving her there.
  11. Just to rectify, it would be the nurses that teach at the puppy school that would be taking care of her.
  12. The vet suggested that we leave Laffi in the clinic tomorrow for a day. She will be sitting there, given bones and treats and people will be passing by and taking stuff from her. It's meant to teach her to give her food to anyone. Do you think it's good training or will she just get upset for being teased all day long?
  13. Sorry Are your weavers attached together or just stuck in the ground? Thank you!
  14. I have seen the other two dogs growling and biting Laffi when she was too close and they had bones. The teacher was near the puppy. She was saying "give", Laffi was growling. Then the teacher reached for the pig's ear, Laffi growled really loud and basically attacked her. Just like the other dogs did with Laffi. Looked very aggressive.
  15. Thank you so much. We are definitely going to work on it. During the lesson I realised she was growling when I had my hand near her when she was eating pig's ear. I was quite surprised because I haven't seen her doing anything like this before. But then I got her to give it to me a few times with "give" command. Then the instructor came and tried the same and Laffi just bit her. It seems that she can give it to me and my husband but she wouldn't give it to anyone else She started doing this because I was fostering two dogs who were like that. They are my friend's dogs. Does it mean she shouldn't play with them again because they are so possessive and she is learning from them?
  16. Laffi, our 12 week old golden, spent a week with two other dogs that were very possessive of their food and toys. Today at the puppy school the teacher came over to teach us how to take food (pig ear) from her and Laffi actually bit her. I was almost in tears. She is such a great pup. I wanted to do hospital therapy with her, that's why I got a golden. And now I have a dog that actually bit someone I know this was probably discussed many times, but for some reason my search option on the forum does not work (doesn't find anything). So if you could give me some advice, send old links and maybe cheer me up I would really appreciate it.
  17. Since you are such an online expert could you please tell me what are the websites you use? (apart from pricelesspets) :D
  18. Not sure you should be walking the little one for an hour, shes only 16 weeks old. The little daxie might not make an hour either. I ment an hour in total (could be split into 2x1/2 or 3x 1/3)
  19. You should walk your dogs, at least an hour a day. More if possible of course. Seems like they are bored and have a lot of energy to burn. They must learn you are the leader and listen to you. They also should heel when you are walking (not pull you where they want to go). Mental and physical exercise coming from their leader is much more important than any toys and cuddles.
  20. So what is the verdict? Humping allowed or banned ?
  21. You should also take him for a swim to relax some muscles and take off some pressure from his joints.
  22. I also would like to know how to encourage my 9 weeks old GR to stop hoovering her food and start chewing it !!! I never have her fish yet but I will start this week!
