  1. I am interested to know how many of us have dogs with allergies, what kind of allergies are they and how are they treated.
  2. It's a type of halter, like the one you put on horses. It stops the dog from pulling when you go for walks because you guide their head.
  3. My 10+ mo golden retriever started thinning her hair near her eye about a week ago. Has anyone had the same problem? Her skin doesn't look inflamed or irritated... I think it's maybe  because of her halti, that she has been rubbing heaps when it was on (we started using it regularly only 2-3 weeks ago)... needless to say we stopped using it when we saw the fur thinning. She is on Advocate so I don't think it's mange .... Any suggestions? I attach a pic to illustrate what I mean.
  4. Thanks for letting us know. I know what I will be getting now
  5. I have seen a puppy growling at their owners a few times, and it turned out that most of the times the puppy wanted to pee and the owner by picking it up was putting pressure on puppy's tummy.
  6. OK I am more confused than ever and want to know which of these would be good for a dog with itchy, dry skin? Could you also explain why? Also which ones can your overdose?
  7. I was wondering what people who feed BARF or raw add to the meaty bones?

  12. I'm waiting on my copy to arrive - i've heard good things from a few people though. I started reading it few days ago. I find it very interesting and refreshing Will comment more on it once I finish.
  13. I do that too. Everyday before going to work I leave a Kong with frozen goodies for each of my girls. However I estimate it takes them only about 30 min to eat it . But after that they go to sleep
  14. I tried to use a deep voice but didn't really seem to work very well and I just wanted to giggle Haven't gotten to this point yet... Which DVD is it ? Or was it during the seminar?
  15. I just watched some DVDs by Susan Garrett and she is using this really deep voice to encourage her dogs and get them excited Does anyone else do that? Does it work? Or maybe you do something similar?
  16. I put a 'dash' in the dogs water bowl. Hmmm about few teaspoons in a huge bowl.
  17. I just started adding Apple Cider Vinegar to my dogs' water and it had been great. One of them stopped itching significantly I read the thread about 101 uses of Apple Cider Vinegar and just wanted to ask: who has been always using it? or just started using it? what do you use it for?
  18. What a great thread I now know what mine two will get for their bdays
  19. where can you buy these? Any heath food shop stocks Green lipped mussel. If you want a canine specific one, you can buy Technyflex. I've just started my two older dogs on it. Direct from the importer is as good a source as any. Here's their website. It comes in powder or capsules. All the specs are up there for it.
  20. Thanks everybody . I am going to work on it using the dogscouts method ;) and start with a metal article. Will keep you updated
