  1. what a great idea! never crossed my mind to give mines beans LOL
  2. I don't believe in quick fixes. Training is fun and helps you to develop a great relationship with your dog.
  3. I would like to know what training treats do people who feed raw (BARF, prey model diet, etc..) use. I find it hard to use 'raw' treats and I do end up using a lot of dry food. The 'raw' treats I use are: chicken necks baby carrots chicken/turkey pieces cheese
  4. I received mines yesterday  . My dogs and cats love it. My cat is very very picky so I was so happy that I finally found something he likes. My dogs are not very picky . They all ate it like no tomorrow
  5. Mine does the nose touch too but it seems to be irrespective to where her rear end is.
  6. Wubba is by far the best toy to use in training for both Midge and Laffi . They love chasing it and tugging with it when they bring it back. Laffi is still a little shy about playing outside our backyard but Midge is tugging like crazy during training sessions in our agility and flyball clubs! For a dog that didn't tug at all 6 months ago she came a long way
  7. Thanks heaps. The plank is around 4" high. Not sure how wide. I think you are totally right that she understands the front behavior but not the rear one. We have been doing a lot of rear end awareness exercises where she stands with her front paws on the brick and just moves her back legs. I didn't think about it until you mentionned it but I think you are totally right. I think she is trying to connect the two and I didn't even realize LOL!!!!!!!
  8. HI LAFFI,I would have to agree as I train there too,I'm the crazy dog owner with the dog who has a pink and purple tail(Josie)! Which level are you? Laffi my golden retriever is level 2 and Midge my australian shepherd level 3. I will see you next Sunday!!
  9. The commercial EPO shampoo contains 1% EPO and the vet grade one 3%. So I would definitely put very little / very diluted.
  10. I think this is a great idea. I would love to hear what other people think.
  11. I do have a travel plank. My problem is that she is too fast and the second she targets she also swings her back legs. Not always but often enough that she is still confused about what to do. Hmmm maybe I should put the target on the plank first and only slowly move it on the ground...?
  12. How did you teach your dog to hold 2o/2o? My dog does not hold the position when I am far away. I think I need to go back to the foundation.
  13. I had a look for ingredients in http://www.dogfoodanalysis.com/ and http://www.artemiscompany.com/
  14. Please keep me updated! I would love training in a group
  15. I would LOVE to know the answer for this one  So you would be interested too? I would love it!!!!

  17. Which one was it eactly that you ordered, can't find it - having a blonde moment!! :D I ordered the Fresh Mix Maximal Dog http://k9katzkitchen.com.au/store/index.ph...p;productId=218 Thanks Laffi. My 2 eat a mainly barf diet, but we alwasy keep a bag of dry in for emergencies and to fill up their buster cube etc. Do you yhink this food will complement their barf diet better than the Advance that we currently buy? Mines are 50% raw (prey model diet) 50% dry. I have done heaps of research about dry foods and since my dogs have sensitive skins I really want to minimize the chances of any irritations (that may be caused for example by dog's sensitivity to grains). I think Fresh Mix Maximal Dog might be the best available option for us. I also like that it has high amount of meat and no fillers. However if your dogs are doing well on Advance than maybe there is no need to switch esp if they are mostly on BARF anyway.

  19. I am not sure I can post it here :D I got it from www.k9katzkitchen.com.au (they are the distributor)
  20. I just ordered the grainless one and it should arrive on Monday. I will keep you updated :D
  21. First of all wet food is 80% water so it doesn't have a lot of nutritional value. I would not feed my dogs wet food. I think you can find better dry foods than Eukanuba. I would recommend: Eagle Pack Holostic, Nutro, Innova, Evo, NB, Orijen, Artemis. I would especially recommend grainless foods (Evo, Orijen, Artemis). I also think that raw diets like BARF or pray model diets are great if you know what you are doing. There are excellent threads about them if you want to learn more. Also, there is no such a thing as "full daily intake". I never look at the recommended ratios because they are way too large. I just look at my dogs and if I see that they are putting on too much weight I just feed less. I think I feed about half of the recommended "full daily intake" and my dogs definitely are not starving LOL. I think BARF patties are better than any wet you can get. But if you want to add meat, why don't you add raw meaty bones (RMB) like chicken necks, wings, turkey etc. Very healthy and great for their teeth!
  22. I train both of my dogs with ADCQ (Agility Dog Club of Queensland). I think they are AMAZING!!!! I love their methods and the trainers are up to date with new, positive ways to teach agility.
  23. I was away when the EPO shampoo and supplement arrived so we are only starting today. I can't wait to start the treatment. Will definitely keep you posted
