  1. Ptolomy your heeling game sounds wonderful great selection JulesP
  2. That's great. Thank you so much. I am feeling relieved. I think the *original* Orijen food is awesome. However because of the irradiation when it enters Australia it is depleted from a lot of vitamins making it sub-standard.
  3. Yes, we found this also! It occured if a poo was left for just a few days.... You would get the same thing if you fed your dogs raw meaty bones. It's actually a good thing as it indicates that the food is highly digestible with high meat/bone content.
  4. LOL you can always email me your list LP!!! btw I am not sure who between you and Ness is worse to do shopping with
  5. what a great list bordacollies4me my two LOVE the bees btw congrats on you and Buddy on getting your AAC  that's an amazing achievement! and Coco's 8 puppies
  6. I stocked up on JW i-squeak balls - my kids love them. Have started using them as rewards when heeling and they seem to be doing the trick - even for the kids that aren't toy motivated. how awesome how do you use them? do you hide them during heeling? and C&T T=throwing the toy? do you throw the toy away from the dog so he leaves the heeling position?
  7. what kind of toys did you get ? what book did you get ? can you tell I am addicted to CR
  8. what did everybody buy  ? I had some personal problems last week and missed out on the CR special but would love to live it through people that did order stuff .
  9. Thanks everybody! I was able to find Frosty Paws at an IGA store. It's great as I don't have time to do it myself (mine are mostly on prey model diet anyway), so it's a great alternative. I was very happy about the roo mince (steak mince plus liver) for cats as my cat is super fussy and she started to eat it slowly but surely I don't have any suppliers of roo mince and liver so this really is awesome.
  10. I would look in more details into raw diets (do a search here for BARF or prey diet). Mince+veggies it probably not a balanced diet as you most likely don't have the right meat/bone ratio. Mince could possibly be minced chicken frames, in which case you are probably are not giving your dogs enough meat. Some people here feed 100% raw, some mix with dry, some people just use dry. I think it comes down to a personal preference. Whatever ratio of raw/dry you decide, please make sure that the raw part is balanced.
  11. My parents live in Europe use Orijen for their pets. When I was there to visit them (~ March) I inspected the food and it smelled identical to the one we had in Australia.
  12. I am a huge fan of SG I think any agility person should watch: - success with one jump DVD (simple exercises to teach the dog focus and handling sills) - crate games DVD (good for motivation and self control) and read "Shaping success" (story about Susan and her hyper dog Buzz, and how she shaped him to become one of the most amazing agility dogs). I have also read "Ruff Love" but feel that a lot of people might find it hard to follow. It's basically about restricting the dog from having any type of reinforcements not coming from the owner so that the owner/handler becomes the most important in dog's life.
  13. Sending happy and healthy vibes
  14. I think maybe fish oil might help. btw I was not attacking you. Just trying to say that if you don't call it a breed people will not get upset and you will actually get help People here love mutts too, but not new breeds'.
  15. How awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks for your input laffi.Do you have the starter one or the 2nd one?Has it gotton any holes at all in them over time? I have the starter one and LP has the advanced one. Hers just has smaller holes (so harder to get food). I have to admit I haven't been using it recently so it's still looking great. I think once you get your dog to tug with food in tug-it you can start by slowly getting her on to tug with toys. First I would start with a frankfurter in a sock so it's still food/smell but less or no food.
  16. huh? sorry I'm relatively new to this site, what does op and DD mean? DD=designer dog basically a mutt or cross breed definitely not a pure breed I think you should accept the fact that you don't have a pure breed dog and move on. If you want to get help on this forum that is. Coming back to your original problem: have you tried the elimination diet?
  17. Sorry I am a little confused. Are you feeding your pup Orijen or Nutrience? I personally would stop using Orijen.
  18. Well with Orijen cat food problem I think most of people (if not all!) will stop feeding Orijen. I loved Orijen. My dogs loved it and did great on it (no problems at all). I ordered some Artemis today. I tried it before and my dogs didn't like it as much as Orijen. However I don't have a choice now as I want to feed grainless food.
  19. Where can I get Artemis dog food online with the best shipping costs to Brisbane QLD?
  20. Are you sure that Artemis is not irradiated?
  21. I might be a little biased, but absolutely - you only have to watch some of them run their dogs and then take part in a class to see how well they impart information to know that.
  22. Thank you SO MUCH. How long did it take to settle down after using Surolan? Where can I get it btw? I am going to the vet this avro, would they have it?
