Just an update - we finally received the range yesterday and I have to say I'm impressed with the ingredients. Going to use my test dummy dog (Evie - okay, she's not a dummy lol) on the Ocean Fusion as she's a big fish fan. Sags great news!

Can anyone please recommend a nice place half way between Sydney-Brisbane that has some nice, dog friendly beaches and dog friendly accommodation/camping?

you can totally bath them now and treat them in a week the treatments usually last quite longer than the advertised time so few days will definitely be OK
-
If you are using a spot-on worming/flea treatment I would not wash them now. You are going to strip all the oils and the treatment will not be as effective. I would apply it now and wash them a week later.

Check out this thread: http://www.dolforums.com.au/index.php?showtopic=121109 If you think the brown objects are ticks, remove them with your fingernails or with a tick remover as soon as possible. Once you remove them analyze them to see if they look like anything on the chart posted in the thread above. My dogs got heaps of brown ticks a couple of months ago. Mostly on their tummies, but also one of her face. The itchiness is usually localized to where the tick is attached.

Exercise Before Obedience Class This Morning?
laffi replied to fainty_girl's topic in Training / Obedience / Dog Sports
I wouldn't go to the park before obedience. What's the point of making her tired beforehand if in real live she would pull more when less tired? -

Obedience Clubs In South/south-west Sydney Or Wollongong
laffi replied to corvus's topic in Training / Obedience / Dog Sports
I would DEFINITELY recommend South Coast Dog Training Club and their Relationship Classes (very basic obedience before you start agility). http://www.scdtc.org/agility.htm I would also recommend the beginners agility classes at Sutherland Dog Club (you can call Ms J Taylor (02) 9525 7342 to ask when can you start etc). -
for the update ellz

I have a PhD in biophysics and have worked in a lot of biochemistry and molecular biology labs in US and Australia. The results/scientific data that you want would be very hard to obtain. They would cost a lot of money and time (because you would have to monitor animals throughout their lives as you are looking at long time effects). The drug companies are not going to run these experiments because it could potentially undermine their product. Public institutions would have very hard time obtaining grants for these studies as it would be very very costly and time consuming. I am not saying that there is or there isn't a correlation for over-vaccination and cancer. I am saying that there are reasons why the scientific data is lacking and will be lacking for a very long time. Now if you want to stick to the position that because there is no scientific data it means the claims are not true, that's fine. But you need to be aware why there is no scientific data on the subject. Sorry, I am a scientist and am always skeptical about any scientific evidence and also about the lack of thereof.
