  1. My dogs are on raw diet... heaps of RMBs etc.. but my golden retriever's top canine teeth still have quite a bit of plaque near the gums. Even sporadic brushing that I do doesn't help. What can I do?
  2. I know!!!! It's already a miracle to put them off to sleep at the same time
  3. I totally agree with this. I have two adult dogs and 9mo twins. I have to say you can't imagine how hard it is to have twins until you have two screaming newborns and only two hands.
  4. OMG  I don't like small dogs but these are adorable!!!!!
  5. What is the cheapest place to buy Proban online? Thanks!
  6. Does anyone know a DIY hydrobath in South Sydney/Shire area or alternatively can recommend a good/affordable hydrobath place or a mobile person?
  7. Thanks everybody!!! OH decided we are going to try this out: http://www.turongates.com/index.html Thanks heaps for the suggestions! we are planning another trip in 2 months so we will use your recommendations for sure
  8. Can you please recommend some dog friendly camping/cabins within 4h drive from Sydney?
  9. You can return it and get a full refund. I did that with a 15kg bag (half eaten) of RC food a couple of years ago. Good brands have a palatability warranty
  10. Maybe this will help? http://www.dolforums.com.au/index.php?show...826&hl=fish Raw fish is awesome for dogs
  11. twodoggies2001 I think you confuse "meal" with "by product". Meal just means that most of the water has been removed from the ingredient. Dry food that contains chicken meal and salmon meat as the first ingredients is the way too go :D Even though Artemis - Fresh Mix M/L Breed Puppy lists Chicken and Turkey as the first 2 ingredients, once the water is removed (this happens during the rendering process while making the dry food) these two drop in their position significantly. So the first true ingredients are: Chicken Meal, Salmon Meal,Pearled Barley, Whole Brown Rice, Oatmeal, Millet, Potatoes, Dried Egg, Tomato Pomace,Chicken Fat which, ingredient-wise, makes this dry food one of the best ones available in Australia. It does not mean your dog will go well on it. It just means that potentially your dog can do excellent on it. Hope that helps ETA: I feed prey-model diet and am not here to argue "what really is in pet food".
  12. I feed raw sardines, mackerel, mullet and salmon heads :D
  13. Go you Ravyk!!!!! Very impressive Do you have a scale to monitor their weights/or can you pop into a vet (they usually have one in the hallway). I would be quite interested to see how their weights are changing Keep us updated!
  14. Sure you can feed cooked offal. It just isn't as nutritious as raw. I think it's better to figure out the way to make your dogs eat offal (by introducing it cooked and cook less and less until they can it raw; or having it mixed with something they really love, like sardines for example) rather than trying to innovate with your own version of raw feeding with no or cooked offal. Hope that helps and good luck!
  15. Hearts shouldn't be counted as offal; it's muscle meat I think if you want to feed 100% raw diet, it has to contain offal (liver/fry, kidney). If you cannot get your dogs to eat it, then I think feeding a good quality dry food is a far better option.
  16. I strongly recommend ADCQ (http://www.adcq.com.au/) agility club that also offers some basic obedience classes I would not recommend Ipswich Dog Obedience Club.
