  1. This reminded me of a time when my parents were looking after our dogs (1 great dane and 2 greyhounds - one a foster). Apparently one day Mum couldn't see where the foster greyhound and their Alaskan malamute were, so went looking. She found them excavating a hole to China in her backyard. It was raining and the other 2 precious ones (our greyhound and great dane) were lounging in the lounge room (as you do) and the the 2 naughty ones were covered in mud, but having a lovely time!
  2. So cool, but I already have the black version!
  3. Harry and Whitney are the same, they'd rather sleep than go out in the rain. If they are a bit restless, we play games for a while, but then they decide they've had enough.
  4. Bummer! I hate that insurance companies always have an out ETA: I hope Pucky is okay
  5. Good news, and hopefully she'll be fine from now on.
  6. Hugs and best wishes. Hopefully Feather will recover and go on being a happy girl
  7. What a beautiful tribute to a lovely dog. Happy Birthday, Tibor.
  8. Harry, the greyhound, won't pull out the stuffing until a hole develops in the toy, then it's fair game. He can get his needle nose into the tiniest hole, and then there's stuffing everywhere. Whitney tends to suck them more, but sometimes gets excited and de-stuffs.
  9. Love all of these. I'm not quick enough with the camera with my two, but they are basically lazy so most would be shots of sleeping! Thank you all for sharing.
  10. I bought one of those blue pill cutters last night after reading this. It is so easy to quarter very small pills for the dogs. Thank you!
  11. I'd love to do that with Harry, but working full time and hubby doing shift work, I don't know we could commit to a fixed day or time, it would have to be amore ad-hoc thing. Harry is such a love bug, he'd loooove all the pats and cuddles, and he is not very food motivated (so ungreyhound of him)so he wouldn't be too interested in anything on the floor, especially if he's been fed in the last 6 hours or so  I live in Nowra, so will look at the PAWS site (have had a look previously, but can't remember the details now)and see if we could be involved.
  12. Good article, now how can we get the people that need to read it do so? Everyone should be given this before they get a pet.
  13. Happy belated Gotcha Day! Stan is a "one and only"
  14. So sorry for you all. Hugs aren't enough, but hopefully they help
  15. How horrible. I'm all teary reading this. Condolences to the families of the deceased and the animal owners/carers.
  16. So glad he's okay and home again. Our greyhound bloated, and the problem was that his stomach is so far up in his chest, when I kept feeling his "belly" it was soft! I noticed his rib cage had expanded, which was when I rang the vet at 2am. I had been keeping an eye on him as he was restless, but he had vomited earlier, so wasn't thinking bloat because I knew he'd eaten a skanky bone he'd found. The symptoms can be so varied, so it's really scary. Hugs to you all and a quick recovery for Sumo.
