  1. Ooooohhh, how did I miss the special day???? Happy belated Stan Day!!!! Harry wants your pie
  2. Good news, I hope it all goes well from here!
  3. Winning Lotto is our only hope, but I'm glad someone (you) is getting to live the dream
  4. Happy Leo Day! I remember it well, and his case taught me lot.
  5. Your place looks and sounds amazing, sheena! We have stayed in pet friendly places, but our dogs always sleep on their own beds on the floor, as they do at home. Sometimes they'll come into the bedroom, but stay on the floor next to the bed. This would be the same when we are away, and we would not stay where this could not happen. We have stayed in caravan parks whilst travelling through, and had the dogs in the car for the night, but it's rare. I love what you are doing. Our dream has been to buy about 100 acres, and put in about 6 holiday cabins on it, and make it big dog friendly with fenced yards around each cabin, and dogs allowed in the cabins. Having a great dane and greyhound, we are often told by accommodation providers that only small dogs are allowed. We just have to win Lotto to be able to realise our dream
  6. I hope it's all something that can be dealt with easily. Best vibes for a "good" diagnosis. Hugs.
  7. We were out with our greyhound and great dane at a café yesterday. The amount of people that came over to say hello, and then commented on the fact that they'd heard greyhounds make great pets astounded me. It seems there has been a push from greyhound people/bodies to get the word around about what good pets they make. I was pleased to introduce Harry to them all, and got a few comments about his Greenhound collar, so was able to tell people about it. Maybe all this horrible stuff is helping highlight the joys of these gorgeous dogs.
  8. That's so good! He sounds like a miracle man!
  9. We had our dane Flash on Feldene, but she did have her bladder cancer removed. We lost her to a brain tumour before she turned 8. Cherish the time you have with her. Our Whitney has DCM, and we are just loving her to bits whilst we still have her. Hugs to you, it never gets easier.
  10. My parents' Alaskan Malamute does this in part of their house. It is old house that they have renovated, and where there is a kitchen now used to be a bedroom. The dog often walks to the door of the room, and then stops and stares. He seems to wait for a while sniffing the air, and then eventually walks through as if nothing is there. I am sure there are ghosts in that house because I have heard footsteps in the hallway and voices when I've been there by myself. Mali probably sees them!
  11. Some people have no idea, and a lot don't want to be educated
  12. Whitney (great dane) walks out to the back door, looks out and "nup, not gonna get wet", then an hour later repeats the process, and third time, goes out, walks along the pavers, one step onto the lawn, goes pee/poo, and runs back in. Harry (greyhound) doesn't even go out until he can't hang on any more, runs out he back, pees/poos, runs a lap or two of the yard, then runs into the house with timber floors, and slips and slides all way down the hall, and does a huge shake, wetting everything. Wimps!
  13. Poor thing, that's so embarrassing
