Harry starts to eat his dinner, runs out to the backyard and does a pee (even if he's only just done one) and then comes back to finish his meal. Whitney eats a lot faster than Harry, and then expectantly watches to see if he comes back to his dinner, even though she knows she's not going to get it even if he doesn't. I guess she's living hope!

Whitney walks along in a squat poition when she poos. Her poos are spread over a long line! Pain in **** when you go to pick it up.

I also loved this book. It's become one of my favourites.

That's gorgeous. Thank you.

Depends on what is in the spew, but I find that a spray-on cleaner (eg. Spray & Wipe) with a clean cloth (after you've picked up the chunky bits) and dabbing at it rather than rubbing it in works. You would have to check that it doesn't fade the colour though.

Okay, now for the other one!

My two from last year, I haven't taken this year's yet!

How Did Everyone Come Up With Their Dol Names?
Flashsmum replied to huskies4life88's topic in General Dog Discussion
Flash was our first dane, and she got the name because she was "flash" - new and shiny, and had a white flash on her chest. I was her mum! (no human kids) -
A great dane and greyhound.

We have Harry, and we take him for walks. There is a property we sometimes have access to and they have a fenced paddock that we can let him run in, although after about 5 mins of racing around, he needs to rest! We find that walking for about 45 mins seems to be enough for him. We also have a large yard, and he zoomies around that when he feels like it. I can vouch for the breed being great to live with. He is a great inside dog, fairly quiet for a lot of the time, and an absolute loony for when he feels the need to move, and I loooove watching him run!

Happy birthday Daisy. I've always loved reading about your expoilts!

The thrower should be thrown in, with lead weights attached.

Our greyhound Harry was doing this, so I took him to the vet after the 3rd sleepless night. It turned he was suffering back pain, and it was flaring up in the early hours of the morning. He was put on pain killers for about a week, and has been fine since. It also happened last winter, but that was after an injury to his back. This year there was no injury that I know of, but the vet suggested that since he is 7 years old now, he may be starting to get a bit of arthiritis in his back. He's all good now. Maybe get her checked out for any pain.

Flashsmum replied to SUGEE76's topic in General Dog Discussion
The Canine Health Farm at Meroo Meadow/Berry is great. My dane and greyhound were there earlier this year, and I was very happy. They had never been boarded before. -

Advice On Adopting Greyhound Or Whippet?
Flashsmum replied to Lugeanjaam's topic in General Dog Discussion
We have a rescue greyhound, and what OSoSwift said about whippets, is pretty much a greyhound! A grey is obviously bigger, so that may be an issue, but their (the one's I've met) nature is very soft. We adopted our's as he was race trained and was too slow, so he was very well trained when we got him. He is meek and mild in many ways, so could do with a bit of "oomph" sometimes, but others I have met are bit more out there. We fostered one that was a bit wilder than Harry, but still a very good dog, and very easy. Just go and meet a few, and the rescue organisation will help with matching the personality of the dog to your circumstances. I highly recommend them as an easy dog to live with, and they can be very entertaining and clownish!!
