When we took our dog to the snow when I was a kid, he loooooved it. It took about 2 minutes before he figured it could be fun, and then he went mad. Every time after that, when he saw snow, he whined in the car until he could get out and play in it. I'm sure yours will love it!

I like the natural pics! I can't imagine anyone would be surprised by the reality of a dog giving birth. I'm not a breeder and have never had any pups, but when I was kid, we ended up with a very friendly stray cat that had kittens in my wardrobe. We didn't even realise she was pregnant, so imagine our surprise in what we found in my sock drawer! The mess!! I think it's good let people realise that it's not all fluffy puppies and puppy breath.

Whitney was like this (not constant, but on and off) and the vet suggested a food allergy. We have her on a "allergy kibble" and fresh meat and veggies, and she has improved immensely. We are trying to isolate what she is allergic to, so are introducing different things into her diet every 2 weeks to see if she has a reaction, but so far so good. She is also itchy, but not sure if that's food related (don't think so) or environmental as she is itchier when I have bad hay fever! It's worth getting his poo checked for bacteria, etc. Whitney's was clear, so food allergy was the next thing to look at. Apparently the allergy can develop, so it may be something she has always been eating, but just started to react to. Good luck!

Me too. I'm not a breeder, but see the sense in this. -
Lifesize Greyhound Statue Wanted - Any Ideas?
Flashsmum replied to gapvic's topic in General Dog Discussion
I saw on that looked like a greyhound in a garden décor store in Echuca earlier this year. We were there on holidays (houseboat) and were walking around one day. I can't remember the name of the place, but they had a couple there from memory. The hound was sitting, and looked quite good, and pretty close to life size. -
Hope all goes well

Watch Out For Ticks At The Moment!
Flashsmum replied to kelpiecuddles's topic in General Dog Discussion
Thanks for the heads up! I, too, live on the south coast. Whitney is still wearing her tick collar, but I will Frontline both of them tonight. They are due today anyway, but I was wondering if I shouldn't bother because it's getting cooler. Now I will definitely do it. -
How's This For A Recipe For Disaster...
Flashsmum replied to Simply Grand's topic in General Dog Discussion
Hope she does the right thing for both dogs. You've done well to let her know what she needs to be aware of, and hopefully she will take note and follow through. Fingers crossed she comes to you for further advice, but certainly a possible disaster. -
Love it Hmmmmm, Harry must be related as well.

So sorry for your loss. I enjoyed your stories of him, and cried when he wasn't doing well. Hugs to all

Harry likes chook poo! After we've had the chooks out, Harry checks out the whole yard and eats any poo he can find!! I forgot about that. Also, when DH puts fertiliser (moo poo, sheep poo) in the vegie patch, unless we shut the gates,Harry has to go in and check it out.
-
I do remember though, Flash used to love to eat horse poo!!! Whenever she found some, she had to eat it, and then come up and rube her face on us. We tried so hard not to go near any, but she'd find it.

Luckily I've not been subjected to that, but I'm sure Digby enjoyed it, even if you didn't.

Years ago we used Xanax on our previous dane and greyhound for storm anxiety. They showed no signs of aggression, but took to taking food off the table and benches, which they NEVER normally did. With both the dogs, we could leave biscuits on the coffee table for the night and they never touched them, but after a dose of Xanax, both would dig in the bin or try to get something off the bench if it was left out. Munchies!!!!
