Yea I am mystified, she has been doing it basically since we first started walking her. No biggie though I guess, I think it is just her little ritual she has now gotten used to doing. Does seems like its out of fear though judging by the way she runs and hides, rather than excitement of going for a walk. I guess I will have to start associating the chain with something positive again (already tried treats). Thanks for the advice all.

I use the check chains because she walks so nicely on lead aswell. If I stick a harness on her she pulls like crazy, hence why I dont want to take her off the check chain. And she is still running from me when I have a normal collar in my hand, so why would I reintroduce an additional problem by reverting back to a collar/harness?

No she doesnt have a negative asociation with just check chains. Normal leather ones too... and harnesses. And no she doesnt bolt because she is excited, she just runs away from me and hides.... Funny thing is when its on she is totally fine!

Hi, I have a 9 month old pup who loves to go for walks, but when I try and get the check chain on her she runs away from me all the time! She has no problems with the chain when I finally get it on her and has so much fun on her walks! I know that it isnt hurting/choking her either as she doent tend to pull at all..... How can I get her to stop running away from me? As soon as she sees the chain in my hand she makes a dash for it! Ive tried treats etc and dont see why she associates the chain with something bad since she loves walks so much..... Thanks in advance

Fantastic! She is such a picky eater, but always finishes her food when it is cooked. I guess I will cook her food for her till she gets sick of that aswell....

Hi, Just wondering if its ok for me to feed my dog cooked meat on a regular basis. She seems to prefer say, cooked mince as opposed to raw mince... Does cooking the meat get rid of most of the nutrients? Thanks in advance.

Yep, got a bag of the lamb and rice.... I dont think there is any point trying out other products, will stick to barf and kibble mixed with mince!

$5 for 300grams? Hehe I cannot afford that! I think I might have to stick to the BARF.... All my previous dogs used to scoff down their kibble!

Yep Ive tried most of the above, she will eat it with mince/fish, but really wanted a kibble that tasted good enough so that nothing would have to be mixed in..... I guess theres no such product on the market....

Hi guys, I have a bulldog pup who is very fussy with her food. I usually try and feed her a barf diet, but when I dont have enough time I leave her a bowl of nutro. Also tried supercoat, eukabana, eagle pack... She doesnt really touch this, Ive tried mxing it with cheese etc but she still does not touch it.... I was wondering if there is a kibble that my pup might actually like? Thanks in advance.

Hehe I have a 12 week old british bulldog pup and she is exactly the same in every way! Getting better now though... basically followed the advice of the breeder and DOL members. Omg I just saw the pic of your pup, almost looks like mine too! Even both have the little black mole with a black hair coming from it!

Hi all, I recently bought home a puppy and for the past 2 weeks she has been constantly biting at our feet and hands. I understand that she is teething at the moment but is it ok for her to be constantly biting? Or will this lead to issues later on down the track? She has plenty of toys and bones etc, but always prefers to bite at our hands and feet.... I guess I am hoping it will be a phase that will pass....

Just wondering if it is ok to give dogs fish oil products formulated for humans, or if they have specific products for use on dogs only?
