  1. i had a BC who started to urinate ALOT and drink HEAPS... she ended up haveing addisons disease, which in the end is a kidney problem.. thats just a worse case scenario, but always something else a vet can rule out.

Haha.. thanks for your replys.. We are just going on alot of short trips in the car now, to try and get her used to it. hopefully she will settle soon.. but i will defiently try that reward idea and not driving. thankyou as for the older dog.. hopefully they will just sort it out in time.. the older one will give a bit of a nip if the pup is out of line, but i cant imagine her seriously hurting her. hopefully this week while we are at work and they are home alone for awhile, they will sort it out!

thanks... its a horrible scream isnt it! we are ignoring it, just hoping thats its a phase that will pass soon!! but as we have never had this problem with our other BC's, it just blew us away!! we cannot even have a conversation in the car! hopefully with more and more car trips, she will stop!

    New Bc

Hello everyone. I have a 3 year old border collie and recently got a new BC pup. I have 2 issues. Firstly, the new pup screams when in the car and will not settle.. She is bad when by herself and a little better when the other dog is in the car aswell. I have never had this problem before with any of our dogs, so want to know whats the best way i can address this issue? Secondly, 3 months ago we put our young dog down due to health issues, so this new pup is her replacement. The 3 year old we have has changed a bit since the passing of the other dog, and has come more intolerant and growly. How can we make it easier for her to accept the new pup? We give them equal attention, she still has the same routines and we reward when she is been good, but im just a little concerned! Thanks in advance for your replys.
  5. i was looking at the website for nutro.. as im in victoria i would have to have it sent out from keilor as im not close to this.. which one do people find to be the best out of all the different choices of nutro? at the moment my 9 month old BC is on supercoat and my 18 month BC is on a restricted calorie kibble (cant remember what it is at the moment?!!) they seem to be ok on these but im not happy with how their coats look, not as shiny anymore even though they have a lot of fish etc, so just wondering which ones others find the best.. they are not sensitive to any food, the only problem we have ever had is the eukanaba made them constipated.
  6. Hey all. im new and this is my 1st go at this, so please excuse me if its wrong, or in the wrong place. I have 2 border collies. the oldest is about 18 months. I had her spayed at about 8 months old, and a few months after that, she swelled up and had a slight discharge, like she would if coming into season. i took her to the vets and they said she had some abnormal glands, gave her some pills and all was good. Now.. Today i looked at her and once again, she is swollen with discharge, as if coming into season again. I am taking her to the vet after work, but want to know if anyone else has experienced this or heard of this happening? thanks in advance
