You are a wonderful owner. This proves it. You came looking for a solution instead of dumbing a perfectly brilliant animal. Sounds like you are doing the right thing. Also, reward her when she pees outside. I even used to feed my guys while they were peeing and saying 'toilet' when they were going. I would change the feeding tho. Feed your older girl first, then the puppy. Remember you are the pack leader and its you who decides the pack status. They definately grow out of the digging etc. My girl Mai (avatar) was a complete s**t when she was a puppy, then she got to 16mths and suddenly grew up. It was almost overnight. -

Exactly what ML said.... With growling over bones.... my two do it all time to each other. Mai hoards the bones and pinches them when no one else is looking. Maverick growls at anyone who comes near him (dogs that is). But neither growl at me if I take the bone off them. When I get home I pat puppies in order of pack status. They get fed in the same order. Always get fed after us.... Plus, our guys are allowed on the couch and the bed -

They sound like lovely dogs... I can only help with the growling.. I have a few questions.. Do you feed the dogs first or do you eat first ? Do you feed them while you are eating ? When you open the door, who goes out first ? Does Millie get the hugs first ? The whole growling thing sounds like either a fear based or a dominance based. With the peeing everywhere it sounds like more fear based. Cockers are the best -
2 is fine

I did say a couple for me, I suppose a couple might be 2 or 3... Don't mind what colour..
-
I wouldn't mind a couple more... I have one of the I Clicks and two old ones but are always losing them... Best to have one everywhere, bag, car, trial bag, treat bag, kitchen etc etc

Laser Lites Won't use anything else now.. and I have used Aloveen and having 6 dogs, its just too expensive.

They chase to lure into the catchment area My guys are not great on the recall but are easy to catch because all they want to do is kill the evil plastic bag..

Can't wait  My arms will be pulled off my cockers. They will be the ones barking their heads off consistently I have a blue holden commodore station wagon. 2 cockers and 4 JRT's.. Will keep an eye out for poodles and ACT number plates!

Hugs Fi Amy had a wonderful life and your family was privledged to have her in your lives. Unfortunately I know exactly what you are going through. On friday I got a phone call from my vet telling me there was no more that they could do for my fillies leg. After numerous xrays, one operation and 5mths convanlence, the joint can no longer support the weight of her body. She is currently on pain killers to ease her pain. At 2 1/2 years old Eve will be buried next to her father.

Another vote for Leo Ear Cleaner... Squirt down the ear and massage. The get dry tissue to wipe off residue from inside the ear. Works a treat for Maverick who seems to have the worst ears. Mai is bliss tho, never a problem with her.

It is in a fenced paddocked out the back... Yes, you can run your dog on its own or with others...

Nup, cockers are definately not dumb, stupid sometimes but not dumb I saw them on a list somewhere. They were in the top 20 smartest breeds... so there!

Well, I got to try out a few things over the weekend at Newcastle trial ;) Some worked and some didn't Tho my best was Maverick getting 2nd in the Open jumping... A beautiful rear cross behind a jump and he zoomed into the weaves.. beautiful.. pity his novice agility run wasn't as nice Damn contacts.. Had some rather interesting courses tho. Our open jumping on Sunday was disgusting and we DQ'd but he did exactly as I told him.. Oh now he tugs like a trooper. ;)
