Be interesting to see if he did. I remember plain as day, Don Jerk advocating cross breds and carrying on about tail docking. He should stick to what he knows best, horse crap for the garden and weed removal.

I've also been wondering how this is going. It's been over 6 weeks since this thread was started. I'm hanging out to make clinker slices.

It was a fantastic show. The judge for group 4 was a pleasant lady who even took the time to tell what she liked about your dog and at times why your dog didn't win on the day.

All Time Favourite Grooming Range
whippets replied to Sagittarian's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
I make my own but if I can't: I usually use horse products, sometimes dog products. I am not brand loyal at all. -
Depends on how small they get. There has to be 2 apparently "normal" testicles... The confirmation judge may penalise accordingly.

Dogs Victoria Wanting To Take More Decisions From Breeders.
whippets replied to Steve's topic in Breeders Community
off topic a bit: How early do the American cockers "usually" present with inherited cataracts? The one I had was blind in one eye at 12mths of age then the other went at 2 years of age. He was totally blind at 2 1/2 years of age. His pedigree is all over, sire came from the USA, to here , then over to Sweden and still a few here breed on the lines. -
We're contemplating leaving at 5.30am so we can set up indoors. Last year we got there when the show started and had to set up outside along the wall. Car fumes, smokers and dog crap bins isn't fun.

Rspca Proposals For A Mandatory Code For Puppy Farmers.

Yep. Double yep. It takes more than a $25 breed club membership to be a responsible breeder. I'll leave it at that. -
How Did You Find/choose Your Dogs Breeder?
whippets replied to aussielover's topic in General Dog Discussion
I chose the breeder of my foundation basically because they had the best whippets in the country, IMO, and of the type that I wanted to show and breed. I saw ancestors when I had a spell in the USA so was pretty much hooked. I followed their breeding since the 1980's when I showed another breed. I can't get anymore whippys from them as they have turned to the dark side and now only breed cute little Griffons -
Iams/euk Recall In Usa And Canada
whippets replied to stormie's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
"voluntary" Wouldn't exactly call it that. Rationalising a 20min product spec makes them good despite 2 very recent contaminated food recalls is illogical thinking. Their 20min product spec is: A) Industry standards that they don't adhere to, or B) Their policy that they don't exactly adhere to. I vote B. -
The show isn't till next week. You'll get the results next Saturday, Pockets.

Iams/euk Recall In Usa And Canada
whippets replied to stormie's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
That's the second time this company has had a recall on dog food. They need to fire their QC manager. Totally unacceptable for a so called "premium" product. -
l rang the vet and they wont tell me anything without her permission She wont give it either...To be honest im lucky i got the report it took a few reg letters to get it. She died approx 1 mth after ;) If the information you present here is 100% correct then you have nothing to answer for. They nor the vet are forthcoming with any "in depth" information. The next step is theirs. Do nothing and say nothing to them. If they wish to take it further they will have to provide a hell of alot more evidence than what they are "selectively" telling you. Also seek some legal advice but do not tell the other dog owners this. This way you will be ready in case they take it further. At the moment they are using scare tactics.

Whippets have the largest breed entry for the show, 62. Awesome

They treasure their saluki's as much as their Arabian horses. I have read some fascinating history articles on saluki's and Arab horses with the Bedouin's.
-
Depends on the breeder. I prefer not to have litters within a short time frame mainly because I don't want them competing against each other in the same classes.

looks like a potential identity fraud scam to me. Just junk mail them.

Anyone Bought One Of These Before?
whippets replied to Kaffy Magee's topic in General Dog Discussion
I bought an aluminium trolley from Pet Network 6 or 7 years ago and it is still going strong. It's well made and stood up well. There are different grades of Aluminium plus the thickness of it. Don't expect to get a good quality one from eBay but I wouldn't right them off entirely. -
Did they run the scanner all over the dog? I've got 2 whippets here that have their chips just above the elbow, in the subcut layer. They travel to weird and wonderful places.

Insert New Regulation 3.3.9 3.3.9 Pregnant Bitches
whippets replied to SwaY's topic in Breeders Community
Who came up with this gem? Bitches are more likely to get an infection during a season (when the cervix is open) not when they are in whelp (cervix is closed). With that said I've never had a bitch get an infection whilst being on season. Next rule will be mandatory lama's classes for our in whelp bitches. -
What's the status on this product coming to Australia?
