Why do they want a Crapadoodle? Plenty of family orientated smaller purebred breeds around. Try and convince to get an ethically bred purebred.

Would You Consider This A Successful Mating?
whippets replied to Labkisses's topic in Breeders Community
Imagine putting your arm or leg on a lead and taking it around the ring. -
We used Cryogenes for an american shipment. Pretty sure they do all over the world now. They are very professional and know what they are doing. Try and get a shared container if you can. That will cut the cost down quite considerably.

Feed them half of what they normally get fed.

Ultra Nervous And Pooping In Car?

Is there anything about ultra nervous dogs in the link, that is in your signature? -
Bilaterally Disloating Hip/ Luxating Hips?
whippets replied to Didles's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
It's not normal for a dog of any breed to have luxating joints as a puppy and for a pup to have these kind of problems so young as not a good thing....at all. This whole thing reeks of heartache, or heartache to come. -

You need to think with your head and not your heart over this. I'd be getting a refund for the dog. He is only a puppy now but you are going to have life long issues with this, even after surgery. -
Be interesting with the litter I have coming up. Apart from 2 dogs in the last litter (including the male I kept and one that went to Tassy) my bitch threw mainly to her side, from a USA imported dog. This litter coming up, the sire is totally different but shares the dam side with my bitch. I'm excited/curious to see if she is strong as I think she is throwing more of herself than to the stud dogs. Time will tell.... 2 1/2 weeks to go. I get excited about this part of breeding show dogs.

Dogs Vic, previously VCA, previously KCC. They don't state being registered breeders with this association. The puppy farmers in question refer to "Vic Dogs Association" in their letter, who I have never heard of. Also I wouldn't take their word as gospel if they are trying to throw a "state controlling body" membership in the councils direction. They are people of questionable character....obviously. With that being said there still are, registered with ANKC, purebred puppy farmers around...sigh

My girl is getting so big now. 6 weeks preggers. She has her appetite back and is eating everything not nailed down. I was cooking dinner and a snag almost fell on the ground. Her mouth caught it before floor impact No more rides to school to pick the kid up. She is starting to find it a tad difficult to get in and out of the car. I'll get some pix soon.

In general, I won't do repeat matings or use frozen semen from some dog that lived 20 years ago. Always move forward. Having 1 pup in a litter or a litter that dies is an exception.

I read it. The transcript refers to registration with the council. Still don't see any evidence about them being registered breeders with Dogs Vic. Point it out to me if I missed it because you said they were puggy puggy. They got the name wrong, you got the name wrong. Do you know who the state controlling bodies are for the ANKC? Tar them with the brush that they are puppy farmers who shouldn't even own a pet flea.
-
Who is Vic Dogs Association? I highly doubt they would be members of Dogs Vic under the ANKC. They don't even quote a registration number. Registered could mean anything: - registered with council - registered business (ABN) - registered to have multiple dogs on their property. Do puppy farms have their own organising bodies? Whats the pet industry one? Reading "registered" is open to alot of interpretation and not necessarily what you expect.

Core Values!! I love my pets to but I also have children. I wouldn't forsake myself over an animal and leave my children without a mother.

They are the RSPCA. They can do what they want.... More like a bunch of clueless cowboys that live off the donations of deceased estates from rich old lonely people.
-
If the public saw the images then something WOULD be done about puppy farms. There would be an outcry. Makes you wonder why the RSPCA want nothing to do with it. Probably because they advocate these crapadoodle farms. These poor animals. I suppose in response, and to appease the public, the RSPCA will fluff out their chest by taking on another registered purebred hobbyist
-
Just goes to show the RSPCA are out for purebred registered breeders and not "business's" such as puppy farmers. Puppy farmers, that are registered business's, have more rights under law than a purebred breeder hobbyist. The RSPCA are a JOKE. Are they PETA with another coat on? probably.

What Is Concidered A 'bland' Diet
whippets replied to CheekyMonkey's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
I use boiled rice, boiled chicken (seperated from bone afterwards) and some nutrigel mixed into each feed to make it at least palatable. I also keep the broth (fat and all) to mix in afterwards as well. I use that for sickies to get them back on track. -

Baby poo, cat poo, horse poo, dog poo, cow poo, kangaroo poo.... It's like an assorted box of chocolates to a dog. Even better if there is a decaying carcass nearby to roll in afterwards which is like a doggy Chanel No.5. -
That's pretty good for a first attempt though ;)

I was looking for more info on finishing the leads on the internet and accidently stumbled on this fantastic tutorial. Scroll down the page to the Dog_Leash_Tutorial

They tell you what you want to hear, IMO. It really makes me sad for people who fork out money to these idiots who think they have "special" power. They are "special" alright, but not in the supernatural way ;) Show me a desperate person and I'll show you someone who will take advantage of them I find the whole thing very very sad

No way on this earth am I giving up taking my 10 year old fishing. We have a ball. Although it was pretty bad yesterday. Not even the toadies were biting
