One and a half weeks old. I keep the camera next to the box ready to go because usually when I see an "awwwwww" moment by the time I come back with the camera they've all moved.

ROM is not for fighting A far as Jeep is concerned he sired "many" pit champions which is how the dog got the ROM. Remember, those lines came from USA, did they go bad on the plane over? Did they come to Australia and suddenly become big bad fighters? I don't actually think the Jeep lines are human aggressive either? If someone told me in Aust they had Jeep lines, I'd want to see a certified pedigree, thanks. Lots of people talk the tough talk. I'm pretty sure you'd get a certified pedigree from the underground breeders who register their dogs as crossbreds so they are still able to keep them. Who said they were human aggressive? they first person to mention it was Mantis. I'd suggest that a human aggressive bull breed/cross is also dog aggressive. If the tabloids print a picture of a dog which attacked which looks 100% like a fox terrier, it's a fox terrier. If a fox terrier wins BOB and there is a picture of a fox terrier, it's a fox terrier. A brown dog can look like a pitbull, a fox terrier looks like a fox terrier. Unless you are blind. Then it feels like a fox terrier, unless it bites you, and then you are too busy feeling for all your fingers to feel what it is. And if it looks like a bull breed/ or bull cross then you would probably argue that it wasn't. I'd be looking for more than fingers. Probably hand and arm as well. If it quacks like a duck...... I researched all this information years ago, and nothing has changed. Except there are fewer pitbulls. Mine isn't so much research but knowing that my brothers 2 dogs that he had in the 1980's, were both jeep grandsons, double. Nice dogs but didn't trust either of them. Hell that was over 20 years ago and I can still remember details of imports PLUS fighting lines and non fighting lines which current APBT's owners know nothing about (well here anyway). They can't even acknowledge that dogs were bred seperate (non fighting lines) to fighting strains of Kato, redboy, jeep and rascal. It seems you are also ignorant. Most of my posts refer to bull breeds and crosses yet you automatically think of the APBT. Seems like you are the one labelling. My opinion is not based by the media, but through of my own experience, my families experience and my brothers experience with bull breeds. Yes, it is possible, I could be bitten by a cocker, papillion, pug or even my own breed a whippet. I'm pretty bloody sure I'd walk away with my arm still attatched to my shoulder. So......when someone else shows that they can google pit sites and be able to use the Copy & Paste feature on their computer (bravo to you) I also feel inclined to reply to their "twaddle" as you call it. Hell bugger all of that is you own words. You just plagiarise someone elses opinion. So don't go taking any credit for what other people have applauded you for... whatsoever.

Yes C & C from Wiki and bull breed breeders sites is "real research"..not You tend to talk mainly about the APBT in the USA which has MUCH less "fighting line" blood than Australia. But you said you were involved with them so you should know this already right? You should already know that over 80% of the dogs (jeep, redboy etc) imported were from fighting lines right? You should also know that the CH and ROM APBT in the USA don't get their titles from doing triangles and stack in front of the judge right? Why don't you link the press adds that address bull breed attacks? If the tabloids say it's a fox terrier you will of course agree that it is but when it's a bull breed you will question it. Total crap. You don't know anything about them. Dogs were bred to fight, but bred to be people safe. Fighting other dogs doesn't equate to attacks on people, never has, never will. No medium to large sized dog should be owned by idiots. There has never been a fatal attack by a pitbull in Aust. What does that tell you? Pitbulls are way down the attack list stats, even when they are numerically adjusted. Be frightened of cattle dogs, german shepherds, labradors, they are way ahead of pitbulls. Do you research before posting your feelings disguised as fact, and fact shaped by skewed media propaganda. Sure thing. You keep telling yourself that and events, like what happened to this lady, will continue to occur.

Being dog aggressive doesn't make them people aggressive? ah yeah o.k....... and how many people get frenzied on when trying to break dog fights up? It wasn't to long ago when a Bull breed dog turned on a man that was trying to pull it away from his little JRT. Probably just before christmas or thereabouts. Same thing happened with a man with his 2 maltese (I think, but they were a small breed). He got mauled trying to get the bull breed off his pets. Facts that people need to also keep in mind is that "under the radar" APBT breeders register their dogs as crosses so the true value of crossbred bull attacks cannot be accurately measured. BTW Mantis if you are a P.R for pit bull breeds then you are doing a really bad job. Ranting and carrying on with personal attacks on posters who dont' agree with you is usually not a good thing...

No not crap. I'm not sure how many more bull breed/s attacks there has to be on people/other animals but maybe some people will get a clue eventually and some will keep their heads firmly implanted in the sand. With the fighting lines that got imported in the 1980's (way to many Jeep descendents), then into the hands of idiots, then other people who breed them illegally under the radar.....the breed actually stood no chance in this country. It's a real pity there wern't more importations from the "non fighting" lines then we could have seen custom dogs, safer family pets, obedience, agility and therapy dogs (which the non fighting lines are used for in the USA).

And you make your judgement from a few lines in a newspaper... 23 animals, living in their own faceces and urine, crammed in one car together for weeks on end. Skin scalded from ammonia, infested with ringworm and fleas, dehydrated, getting no light, no fresh air, no room to turn, hardly any food. Oh but the poor woman had lost her money and had nowhere to live - and that makes it all ok I suppose? And remember, the magistrate is the one that makes the decision on whether to impose a penalty and how much. And the magistrate does consider the circumstances of the defendent. And that she has the option to perform community service instead of paying money. The RSPCA has treated the cats, brought them back to health and is trying to rehome them. Can I just ask all the RSPCA bashers out there - if it had been the police that had charged this woman, what would you have said then? Yup nice of them to help the animals. Did they assist the lady or direct the lady to any kind of outreach program to help get her on her feet? get some clothes on her back? or at least get her a meal? Probably not. I love animals to but it's a pretty sad society when people do all they can for animals and not give a shoit about the people who are struck down by unfortunate events as well.

The bra works on the "squishing your breasts" factor.

Mine have pet names. That's it. The pet name theme is "that 70's show" They are almost 1 week and have their little personalities already. Leo cracks it big time when another pup crawls over the top of him :rolleyes: he also likes to do laps of the whelping box so he'll probably be an E.T like his sire All Kelso does is nurse, sleep, nurse, sleep and fall asleep nursing...little fatso. Thinking of pedigree names gives me a headache. I usually do a "theme" for that as well. wow so impressed you got pedigree names already

I wouldn't do the breeding in the first place. You already know that it's a roll of a dice. You may get all carriers, you may get some with it and some carriers and if the dice roll was really bad you could get all pups with it. It's the dogs that exhibit the disease that would end up paying the price for someones curiosity. There is enough known about PRA to not even bother with markers/test matings.
