So sorry- he has been a good friend- and you will miss him every day, but it was his time to head off, to where he can be free and sit in the sun again, without the pain
-
That would have been a varied and balanced diet..... with none of the chemicals and processing.

My Short Coated Puppy Has Dandruff Would Fish Oil Help?
persephone replied to kelly's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
Hi- how old is your pup? How often have you been bathing her, and with what shampoo? Does she go swimming? -
Oh dear- all our poor pups We have working sheepdogs- all kennelled outdoors- and mostly fed raw. Puppies are weaned straight onto raw meaty bones. The also get some puppy dry food..NEVER milk. I have never seen diarrhoea in any of our pups- the all do tiny little formed poo from day 1. No vomiting, either ... just bulging tummies and good strong teeth/jaws. most of them live well into their teens after a lifetime of hard active work, and eating tons of bones Our tiny pups get enormous beef/lamb bones, and they suck meat off them safely. As they are able to chew- they get DRY puppy kibble, and smaller chewable bones- mostly rabbit/mutton/some chicken wings... Most are chewing up bones well very quickly Unfortunately- 'modern' dogs are often a bit 'delicate' and may not be able to handle 'real' food Vets will recommend the canned foods,as long as the companies give bonuses to those who stock/sell it

Probably the best option- a suffering dog/distraught kids and not much money... Poor people Hopefully their next one will be healthy and happy

he looks a very happy boy

I haven't seen that- but not to say it isn't vaccine related Sounds to me more like a back/hip injury..... any chance she could have been knockedhard, or have twisted the wrong way, or jumped crooked??? Either way- if she is not comfortable ..phone your vet

ruthless- if you are on broadband, and want somewhere to put your pics- you can't go past flickr ) It has options which enable you to either have public or private 'albums'- and all sorts of other ways to display your work! it is a great community, with lots of groups...like this one A terrific spot for family /friends to view your photos. There is a free account, or a 'pro' account- annual subscription. . -

The beauty of GB is that is Australian (SA, take a bow!) I will therefore buy it in preference to most other DOG foods. (edit to add 'DOG" ) -
I know nothing of start pegs or such things However- I walked Hamlet to a stick(no lead- don't have one ) to mark a spot- got him sitting..and then waited- he watched me for about 25 seconds.. he is a kooliexcocker-6 y o - done absolutely no formal obedience..is just a free-range idiot

What has changed? Different walk/feedtimes? temperature changes? Different food/water? If all is as before- get her to a vet to check for a urinary tract infection. Also- put her back in her pen, perhaps. Poor girl is trying to get as far from bed as possible... and she is still only a baby .. .

I didn't think it was an acceptable thing to 'bunny hop'? Or are Dogues different? I'd be a tad concerned if this breeder has several
-
I agree- contact the breeder first. if she is truly incontinent (wetting when asleep ,or just walking along)... and is bunny hopping- the two could be both coming from a spinal/pelvic problem, maybe ... Breeder first, and as said , a vet who knows your breed . Hope all turns out fine for your gorgeous girl

... we are using GB.. our dogs are getting fat on it! It keeps them in good condition, even when working hard Your boxer has good taste -

Sounds like cellulitis to me -an inflammation/infection just below the skin. Causes can be part hereditary and part infection.... Has the vet mentioned it?

Not sure- but I do things ON lead until they are solid- then try offlead. If they don't work offlead- then it's back ON lead again. Commands are given once- the second time the dog is 'helped' into position. There is no third time. Trouble is, if she obeys on the 10th time, for example- this is what she is trained to do So- onlead again, maybe. At her age, too- I would NOT expect her to be at an age where she would be 100% reliable- she is still a pup...

I will not give too much of advice or opinion- save to say that she may well have been born timid- that tying her up will probably NOt solve the problem, and that you need the personal assistance of a trainer/behaviourist....not just an obedience class... body language is just so important with fear-aggression issues, and , as she is still a baby- the right help for your family is VERY important, to set her up for life A professional - seeing her at home will be able to give much more pertinent advice
