Photoshop And Other Post Photography Enhancements
persephone replied to Kirislin's topic in Photos, Photos, Photos
Ok... I often use photoshop/lihghtroom/picasa to slightly adjust colour and/or lighting. Occasionally I will edit an object within the photo, and remove or blur it (not often) Sometimes I will make frames or do special effects ( I am not good at this ) I am a beginner !! here are a couple. Hamlet - a pic taken candidly, at noon... and very washed out. I used PS2 to darken and saturate colour a bit.. then used the 'render cloud' action on the background .. so I had a photo which was worth looking at Emu Feather.. straight off camera........ Hmmm... 'just'! I did a few things in picasa- a bit of saturation, and some playing with the collage feature.... just an experiment. -
Maybe being at home will give him a big boost .......... here's hoping he is comfortable, whatever his body decides :D

Cute photos :D Glad you got them up !

I have had lots of pups/dogs, none have ever pee'd at night more than once.. and I have never used a crate. Lots of people have housetrained pups without crates.

Hi. feed her early in the evening. No water available close to bedtime, or overnight. make sure she has lots of playtime before bed. toilet her immediately before bed. Is she just peeing, or poo'ing as well?

I am sure you will do what's best for your little man - thinking of you

I am callous. I know they have pain relief to cope with the immediate post op pain.. but I don't believe in giving any more during recovery. Why? because if a dog/bitch 'ouches' when they wriggle/walk/bounce... then they won't do it! If they are a bit sore.. then they are more likely to rest and let the body heal as it should-- being still and quiet. I am a firm believer in confinement and quiet and physical rest, for at least 5 days.

That is better news:) Hope things improve over the next 24 hrs.!

I can understand trying to stop a dog barking when they bark at birds all day, or at traffic, or just because it is a habit ...especially as there is an unstable person living next door :D Attempting to stop a PUP play-barking? My worry is that pup gets happy/excited- barks, and gets the aversive. Will it be the bark which is addressed, or the bouncy., happy feeling?

Bet that news made you smile! :D

Yes! :D that is brilliant... it makes me sad... the look in her eyes... but it is a beautiful work .

I am useless in the tech dep't....... mix up buttons on the camera, fly in the face of the wind.... but capture what has a 'feel' to it  Macro is my love- being in the world of mini beasts, of plants and dewdrops....nature in general- macro in particular caterpillar feather I have absolutely no desire for portraits/studio work, or 'the perfect shot'

Asd far as I can remember- small pups need 3/4 meals a day...Their little tummies can only hold a certain quantity... but they need to refill often.
-
So- why did the pup have yet another different food for tea? I don't understand.... Why would you spend money at the vets and not follow instructions?
-
I don't envy you or your family the coming night... hopefully it will bring good news by morning.

Being dehdryated is not good  That's the problem with little puppies. Leaving the dry food out all day COULD be why he is having loose motions- he has a continuous stream of food needing to be processed and it's going through quickly Overnight, his gut has a chance to fully digest the remaining food- and to remove moisture from it for his body to use. This is a good cyhance to teach him (and you) good eating habits! he should be on at least 3/4 meals a day.. just little ones... and high nutrient/low fibre ones at that. When he has recovered, and is back on normal food... set his mealtimes, and it is only then he gets his food! :p Hoping his tummy settles with a good rest and some nice easily digested food

My Children Are Scared Of My Puppy, Please Help!
persephone replied to Brucey Mumma's topic in Puppy Chat
rehoming the kids is a good option! Seriously- YES get a trainer/behaviourist out.ASAP. It won't be cheap- however it better than either rehoming the pup, or having hysterical kids. Where are you situated? in the meantime- have you read THIS -
