lamb flaps are great... but be cautious about adding fat to her diet.. do t gradually, or you may end up with a smelly dog until her tummy gets used to it

Todays lot are very diverse and interesting ! Everyone has their own take on things ;) No matter what camera equipment is used,it is the eye of the artist which determines what we see -
poor old soul... ;)

Chicken necks are not ideal for any but tiny pups/dogs. if you do use them.. buy large ones, and feed them frozen ) don't cut them up.. there is more ikelihood of a dog swallowing a chunk The reason I see them as unsuitable,as that their diameter is about the same as a dog's throat... and they can get stuck! I tried them with my boy when he was a pup.. didn't last long after a scare!

Today's "Brain Food" cropped in picasa. -
These two need a chance to have a good sniff!! Try gently holding them both... so they can sniff the tail end of the other..one at a time. Give your girl first go.. it is her house ;) maybe have her in a crate ,, and back him up to it,so she can sniff. Then do the same.. him in crate, and her backed up. this puts you in control, and takes away any eye contact-/ threats from the other dog Often new dogs will try & sniff, but the other one will not stand stil... and sometimes things get a bit tense...This way, their curiosity is satisfied!

I found an old old bottle... must have once contained something toxic... but it looked interesting Not much PP done.. just took away some unwanted blue hues, and darkened th ewriting a little for legibility. -
The more groups you're in...and the more you comment on others' photos...the more 'exposure', leading to comments/invites/favourites/awards.....

Would your 2 year old use the stroller if it was a special treat...he could perhaps carry the dog's water bottle/ball/treats/spare leash etc.. and that could be his 'job'? or.. 20 mins /half hour everyday walk?...
-
he would benefit greatly from a 'controlled'.. on leash LONG walk twice a day. The walks/sessions he is getting are geared toward HIM pleasing himself...and are not often enough to cancel out the excitement factor What it appears to me is that HE decides what running he does.. you have not got him on lead.. so you don't dictate A half hour twice weekly of onlead walking is nowhere near enough to be of benefit for any dog... let alone a young healthy energetic one, sorry  Ball games are ok... as a treat.. they ,IMO increase excitement, and give the dog not much practice in discipline. Playing with another dog stops him being bored, but does NOT teach him how to walk calmly/behave calmly around humans. he is learning how to be a dog... with other dogs... and not so much learning to be a dog interacting in a calm and thinking way with humans. If he were mine.. and I don't have kids..so it would be easier.. he would be indoors on leash, for sessions during the day...learning the finer points of walking quietly, lying down in one spot calmly... respecting human children...

I tend to agree here with some professional advice. Strong bouncy male puppy... built like a tank...kids.. excitement.. Time to get some personalised strategies and backup , before there is an accidental meeting of dog and human bodies , resulting in injury or fright.

alll of our dogs still have their dew claws.. no problems.
-
You do NOT need to boil eggs for him at all . he can eat lots of bones... but I would agree with your vet re the chciken necks. They are exactlyy the right size to get stuck in a dog's throat Give him WHOLE, RAW chicken wings and turkey wings, lamb flaps/brisket bones, beef brisket bones..WHOLE,uncut lamb necks Give him stuff he enjoys  don't 'hover' don't send off anxiety vibes .... make sure he has plenty of exercise, and not many treats before meals. use the meaty bones as a meal- not a treat. get him a kong... and fill it with a mixture of yummy things... he will chew and roll it around... and not wreck it

The dribbling of urine is usually because there is irritation... they NEED to go...but there is not the quantity in the bladder...it isn't that they are having difficulty urinating....but because of frequency.. the bladder is nearly empty all the time.... ( I think)
-
get some cranberry tablets... try kids dose... or 1/2 adult dose... sounds as if it may be an infection.... IF it is..cranberry helps by not allowing bacteria to cling to the bladder wall... Hopefully the vet will tell you more on Monday.

at the 'last Scooby snack" pic .... here's today's "Feather"...straight off the camera. -
Sorry to hear of your boy's illness.. he may have an infection... and feels hot and uncomfortable. Sleeping outdoors may enable him to find a cooler spot  If he has an infection/mass which is so noticeable.. then yes, he will be feeling it,and it will most likely be uncomfortable to walk/run... I hope the antibiotics are a help... and that he feels better soon!
-
Use a well washed/rinsed serving spoon/soup ladle..... easier than trying to get a jar under a dog
-
good pics  IF the 'dewclaw' is to be totally removed, and not just the nail cut short... if that toe has a pad, then YES, the whole 'toe' comes off.. claw, bone, pad. Do vets just remove the whole nail these days?I haven't heard of this. All our working dogs have front dewclaws... and they are continually in bushes/dirt/sheepyards/trucks/scrambling thru branches on the ground, etc... occasionally one will break a nail... but they cause NO other problem, and rarely need trimming either.
