You may well do-and that's worth heaps!! however putting a dog with a potentially infectious condition into a large group of dogs isn't the most responsible action ...do boarding kennels actually accept dogs with diarrhoea present???

Me? I would be seeing not just speaking with, another vet. Did he have a high temp? Did they do a parvo test? Did they mention anything like Giardia ?

Biting (6 Month Old Puppy)

SecretKei- do you go obedience at Barmera? No one there capable of understanding/helping? -
and because she has TRAINED you to let her out,or speak to her when she does this

*nods* a suggestion. do not FUSS over the pup. when visitors come.. they can be asked to NOT say hello to the pup until everyone is settled.. and pup is sitting quietly. this means NO eye contact, or voice attention, too ;) When speaking with the pup.. keep it calm... ask people to gently pat pup under the chin.. running to take her out will add to her anxieties... maybe even have her elsewhere when people are visiting... and if they want to see her- then they go out into the yard, squat or sit, and let pup approach them. Basically- ignore her unless she is sitting/standing quietly

Increasing Amount Of Puppy Food I'm Feeding Our 8 Week Old Lab
persephone replied to martymonty's topic in Puppy Chat
An 8 week old only on two meals a day? That seems less than I would expect.. if she is filling out, and there are no ribs visible.. feed the same amount, but divide it into 3. Do not add veges as a 'filler'- she is a baby puppy and needs good quality protein /fat to grow on- not vegetable matter ;) the ingredients list for the food you are using. It has been mentioned on here that dogs cannot easily digest /assimilate CORN.... perhaps your pup does need to be GENTLY/GRADUALLY changed to a more suitable food? -
jodie- if you are taking the dog to a vet- please don't put anything in the sore ear... it may make things look different, so the vet can't make a diagnosis as easily ;) Hopefully you will get some relief for you pup

ACK! I just re-read the poster's name.......wondering why they hadn't returned.... I wonder......... hook, line & sinker????? -
I agree- she will not be a known 'breed'- she will have traits from both breeds . Ask yourself if you are prepared for the grooming, the ear care, the excitability.... and if she has not been raised around kids.... what will she be like?

You are angry and broken... It was an accident, and could have happened at any time.It takes but a second. If it helps- she would not have known what happened- she would have been in shock and numb with such massive injuries...I believe tho- she probably did sense your presence, as the 'green dream' set her free. Take care- be kind to yourself and your family.
