hi- another picasa user here..800 is ok- but drop quality level down a bit ,maybe ? I often put pics at 640 ..and quality at 'normal' with my photos- this equals around 150 kb. -
How tall is he? measure from his shoulder to the ground- or have him stand side on alongside a human ...

Hi being in a backpack/frontpack for a pup the size of goldie would be uncomfortable, methinks Dogs are not meant to be carried around like that..and IMO I think maybe it would create a problem with the pup wanting to be carried a lot afterwards? Why not buy a second hand pram.. and use a small crate on that... or buy a pet stroller to push around? At least puppy would be at the correct level, and on its 4 feet .. Dogs are not meant to be carried around like that..and IMO I think maybe it would create a problem with the pup wanting to be carried a lot afterwards?

Hope your boy sleeps ok tonight, and that in the morning you can get some good advice!
-
No- same here .. altho it IS a boy he does sound as if a more thorough check is needed, AND some relief!
-
painkiller is a good idea, but Not sure about aspirin for a puppy who has not eaten since this morning, tho, longclaw? May be a bit much on the tummy? if it were mine, and I was able- he would be off to a 24 hr vet.

Is there not an emergency vet you could see tonight??? look here

I am reading with interest all the allergy related posts. many years ago, when living in the city, my boy , mitchell was allergic to grass/pollen/food colourings... Life was a continual supply of prednil..avoiding stuff, and visits to a holistic vet for vit.C injections. I now what it can be like . Now however, with multiple dogs... we have absolutely no allergies, and things are so much more pleasant Just providing a spot where we can share our itches play nice

Aussiedog- how did things go at the vets?

Your rottie pup will need a well thought out mix of meat/bone offal.. or a complete puppy dry food, to ensure it gets the correct amount (and PROPORTION) of calcium and phosphorous to build that heavy skeleton correctly! Chicken necks are a bit small..try wings and turkey necks too Did the breeder feed ONLY diced liver? If so, that shows an ignorance of nutritional requirements of a baby puppy :D have a read HERE and HERE for some discussion on diet

Yummo your pup will be a happy one !

Sounds ominous- wonder what else is wrong with him ? poor little fella.

Can't you get him to a vet earlier..... maybe a different vet? A puppy who needs to be carried is an urgent case Hope he's ok.

I just remembered an exception to my rule-- my daneX deerhound, Kieran had a habit of gently holding us by the wrist and walking that way with us....no pressure..no marks I remember one day in town, a crowded mall..and a poor woman who suddenly was taken by the hand and 'escorted along' Luckily she thought it was very cute... if a 45kg, metre high brindle boof can be cute That was the only time he did it to a stranger. he never used mouth/teeth on humans at any other time...

Dog Fight, What To Put On Punture Wounds?
persephone replied to Missymoo's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
Hope everyone is OK this morning... I don't do the vet thing for normal bite wounds either-- but suggesting someone NOT take their dog to a vet seems lax -
I suggest a vet trip ...he could be sore.... he could be lacking in stamina..it could be that he is having a bad time teething... (do bullies have difficulty because of their jaw shape? ) there could be lots of reasons . ..... Hope he's bouncing soon!

Advice For Stopping Jumping Up When We Are Sitting Down
persephone replied to ButerflyGirl's topic in Puppy Chat
This is ok- but I prefer to use water sprays etc in a way that makes it appear humans did NOT apply the aversive. The ACTION of the dog set off the spray, or whatever... The reason? i don't want my dog to expect something unwelcome when I pick up a spray bottle .... You may want to get a small water pistol- and have it with you all the time. spray when he cannot see the pistol... and do not accompany it with eye contact or any overt movement....or praise if he drops. add a few drops of vinegar to the water ,too Agree with nekhbet - a lot of the way dogs behave should be in response to human body language- not a spoken command/direction every time . -
