So Sorry.after 12 years you will have a big gap in your lives. R I P george .

R I P Dulcie..and your babies. For 6 years you have worked tirelessly in the dust and heat..rest in the cool spot I've just dug for you now under the old pine tree. You shall have your new babies with you forever, now . Don't fight with your grandma, old Bo.! I'll miss you chasing my heels.. and your goofy face. Dulcie had whelped this morning,. I went to do the 1/2 hourly check... and found disaster. I could not revive her.

No extra bones or anything to chew on? Maybe they are bored..maybe there is traces of fertiliser in the soil,,,maybe they are lacking in something....

ohh- I am so glad though that he went peacefully and happily . It's the best you could have done

Oh- that's not at all how I imagined it! It doesn't look like an allergy to me- It does look like puppy strangles to my untrained eye .If it is this, it is is an immune system problem ..and needs proper teatment. Good luck with her , poor little mite.

Advice Please! Distressed Escape Artist.

Rehoming a dog like this is not the most responsible of actions, sorry Passing on a dog with such problems is unfair. I would also suggest contacting a GOOD, experienced trainer/behaviourist.This is going to need a lot of work and expertise... and some hard decision making. What is he like if you leave him inside? What is his general behaviour? leash walking/recall/friendliness/housetraining, etc. -
Poor little dog- I would be harassing the vet- or seeking a second opinion

How Does Your Dog Singal He Needs To Go Out For A Wee?
persephone replied to Snowball's topic in Puppy Chat
If your pup is still young- then it is YOURresponsibilty to take her out frequently...MAKE sure she goes..yes, you may need to stand still for 20 minutes... so she does not have to toilet indoors. keep her in the room with you..use baby gates, or have her onlead. That way you WILL notice what she's doing... -

What Do You Think Of This Raw Diet
persephone replied to WildatHeart's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
Where are the bones??? I would hope the mince has bone minced up in it as well... Wouldn't it be cheaper to do your own? IMO dogs/cats , unless old and /or ill do not need mince. -
:D!!!!!

I'd agree with this too.

Myboyjosh- if you look- you will see I googled the law and posted a link to it Oh- and suggested alternatives
-
I guess you could use chicken hearts/livers..and if you feed frames there will be kidneys too
-
Ok! NO butcher's offal either LINK TO Tassie LAWpertaining to HYDATID DISEASE Sheesh- as if the lamb hearts are going to be full of hydatid cysts if they are for human consumption.
-
I would think it is not illegal to feed offal- providing you source it from your butcher! hearts, liver, brains, tripe..... I think what the law means is that if you find roadkill, and/or butcher a beast and feed the unchecked bits ... Or? maybe I'm very wrong. I'd be surprised though if feeding meat from a butcher is illegal, whether it is a lamb heart or a filet mignon. make sure the red meat you feed has bone too- lamb flaps, beef brisket, pig's heads, turkey necks, kangaroo tails I would suggest chicken necks.thighs are a bit small for a goldie- I would worry that he wouldn't chew them . Chicken frames are good- as are turkey wings. he doesn't need much veg... these threads may be interesting for you LINK LINK

I think I was told on here that there is no such thing as a stupid question ..It's often easier to 'see' a possible solution from the other side of a computer screen !

Put your pups in the chosen areas..THEN get the food bowls.. feed whichever one you want first..get them to sit & wait.... an excellent opportunity for a bit of training and one-on -one atention. It is also getting them used to being alone and doing stuff
