  1. it is just a snap - for my smile folder and I do like your version!
  2. Took this on the weekend , and it is one of my favourites . Parents not keen.. it is too casual . No real problem- it was mainly for me anyhow - but what do you think? ( I don't like obviously posed/stiff/smile-at-the-camera-shots )
  3. No expert here- but You may get some hints from HERE and I agree with asking what the family wants!! On the weekend , I snapped what I (and most folks I showed) thought was a gorgeous, relaxed gentle pic of a grandma with 6 M O baby on her lap .. showed them both looking lovely . Mum of baby did not like it- "I never take a photo of my baby with a bib or a dummy!! " I also took a fun pic of a two year old all smiles and reaching toward me to show me something .. made everyone in the room smile . Not parent - cos pic wasn't 'posed' Lucky the pics were mainly for my smile collection yes, so please ASK . have fun
  4. So glad charlie is able to enjoy being charlie!
  5. I have a fuji and a sony both (point&shoot) :0 not even a DSLR There, that make you feel better ?
  6. noopy- this is such great news I hope we get a photo of a new healthy little dog :p bet you are so pleased to have her home & happy!
  7. My Kieran used to do it every morning as well.. until I started giving him a snack at bed time ;) Then it stopped. I guess some dogs ,when their tummies are empty, get in trouble from bile etc ...... He grew out of it ,luckily.
  8. Put a thick rug on the sofa! it's hard if he is allowed on it at other times... if he has a spot where he will go happily- then let him ;)
  9. Just be glad that it's not still in there! Try her with some chicken soup.... or a little milky food - or even some good canned food ,warmed slightly. her throat is probably very sore! If she is not drinking at all.. or vomits again, emergency vet may be an idea. if she doesn't poo, don't panic just yet- being off her food and vomiting will mean there's not much to come out!
  10. I am presuming he has been checked for cleft palate ? Try & stop him crawling around too much- he is just using up energy keep him warm...
  11. he is a BABY - and you are inexperienced, and perhaps trying /worrying too much As said- a couple of minutes only per session .. and a few of them in a day is all you need. What training are you doing when he bites you ? How is it he can reach your hand? here is some reading for you- maybe it has some ideas? LINK LINK
  12. Yep- all dogs have a couple of those spots ... it may well be something else, but could just be 'the' spots. I love tickling tiny puppies, and watching their stumpy little legs trying to scratch
  13. make getting in there a game- with car stationary- food/toys, etc . then just short drives- give her a toy or a bone . Non slip matting /her bedding on the floor, and perhaps clip her harness on, too .
  14. Or ,will she carry his wallet/briefcase/lunchbox? Kieran also used to sit & wait to be handed the mail, or a bag/wallet etc..he would then carry them inside Your girl sounds just lovely!
  15. try him with chicken frames..or turkey wings- bigger, and he will need to spend much more time chewing. One chicken wing is not much chew material, really.
  16. Yes, I guess in this day & age, carrying a toy is safer :/
  17. aawwwwww..my Kieran used to do that ...from the gate to the back door That post made me miss him again ..... Why? If she is soft-mouthed, and only does this at these times, I see no reason to stop it . My gorgeous boy did it for all his 7 years ..... he did occasionally take someone's hand when walking down the street ,tho and it caused a bit of consternation, as he was 45kg and a brindle deerhoundXdane ... He made several new friends that way
  18. I would also be doing T O T with him.. he may be resource guarding, as the incidents you describe were in the kitchen. Nowdays I have no dogs or cats around when I prepare food- makes life easier
  19. I too am wondering why, if the attack went for over an hour, why the lad did not phone someone!!! ?? R I P dogs.
  20. OK- sad when a dog is not safe in a backyard.
  21. Oh, and nic, when this puppy is a teenager, he will be very 'full on' and will be needing a lot more management than now as a baby who has not the physical size/strength to be too demanding... Agility and things are great! But not until he's fully grown ... he has to make you suffer thru his adolescence first!!
