Thank God Dogs Doesn't Hold Grudges Because...
persephone replied to W Sibs's topic in General Dog Discussion
They are dogs. they do not wonder why strange things happen to them... or hold grudges, or 'forgive' us ... they deal with any problems they perceive , and get on with what next seems interesting . they are sensible beings. -
Just set more traps! Those grey plastic ones will NOT hurt your dogs . Set them under cupboards/behing fridge/bookshelves etc.... also outside in sheds/garage etc.. When we have a few mice I can often set 10 traps a night.... blocking entry points is great- but realise a mouse can squeeze thru gaps you may push a pencil thru!

My Dog Always Throws Up When She's On My Bed
persephone replied to Cachorrita's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
Just thinking outside the box.... could it be a balance thing? perhaps she gets out of whack with the slight movements of the bed??? Some folks I know get very nauseous on a water bed! -
It is a shock- but I think he looks nice & neat :D happy shopping!

Dodo- SO tiny ..and cute :D HAVE a LOOK here, maybe?

What jaxx's buddy said :D yes sometimes pups' teeth/gums hurt ... but honestly , I have never had a pup that I have noticed in so much pain it couldn't eat . Stop fiddling with her food, put down her normal meal... wait, walk away . Come back after 15 mins, and pick bowl up. repeat next mealtime. At 5 mths she should not need three meals a day .. one or two will be plenty if she's playing, etc don't worry. She may enjoy a frozen bone to help soothe her gums :D

My Dog Always Throws Up When She's On My Bed

When does she get fed in relation to her throwing up? and yes- what are you feeding her ? (incl. treats) -
I'd go rootail interesting shape .. can be chewed & chewed .. needs to be a long length tho- NOT just a couple of vertebrae. I buy bags of bones at our little (country) IGA they are fantastic! squares of lamb flap, lamb shanks, beef brisket bones, teh odd pork bone/trotter..and all for around $4.00 there are about 4 kg of bone The pups and cats LOVE them no preservative or anything...

Ideas For Keeping The Oldies Extra Warm This Winter...
persephone replied to redangel's topic in General Dog Discussion
YES!! I use these for the old cats..and for puppies I wrap in WOOLLEN blanket pieces..or a woollen thick sock popped under bedding, they stay warm all night -
Give your dog either whole necks, or something like turkey necks.. so she cannot swallow small sharp bits as easily

Ideas For Keeping The Oldies Extra Warm This Winter...

Something to consider is to getthem something like an igloo in which to sleep :D A lo-roofed, warm and soft 'igloo' keeps in the body warmth, and protects from drafts. I don't care what bed your dog has... if it's not enclosed on three side/roofed, there will be cold drafts- especially at ground level (unless your house is heated 24/7 :p When regularly visiting cold old ballarat with old Mitch many years ago.. I always took a large piece of foam.. like the stuff mattress overlays are :D I would roll it into a tube.. tie it with string.. and he and his bedding would go in the middle of the 'pipe' . with one end against a wall or covered with blanket- he was as snug as!! -
