Sounds fine to me. The correction should be just an instant's tightening/tug with good vocal praise immediately she responds

perhaps it's the extra bones and other good things! Good news anyway

That is one very very gorgeous pup.!!! Russ is just lovely That 2nd pic... that is amazingly cute! Doesn't sound stubborn- sounds to me - just from interpreting what you wrote .. as if he is a bit scared and hasn't been socialised very well . Agree with contacting his breeder and ask whay they havedone with him in regrads to socialising... he has only been with you a short time, too.. don't expect too much! perhaps he has never had any leash training from the breeders- he may have just been outside in a pen ... oh- and I do hope you do not leave that collar on him ...that loop can easily hook a leg, or something around the house ..and that could be nasty

Hi Your boy sounds as if he has a loving family to care for him . Hope the infection settles soon! Instead of a bucket..perhaps get a properly fitted one of the plastic basket muzzles ?If worn when you are around, it means he can see properly, and interact with everyone more comfortably I LOVE mine- just have the one, bought about 6 years ago, and used on several of our dogs after surgery, with wounds, etc. When the correct one is found, dog can pant /open mouth wide/drink from a deep container (and you can poke treats thru the holes ) Hmmm... Don't know your old boy, or what he is like with other dogs , or his activity level/routine, however my thoughts are that often older dogs do not enjoy having their routine/space invaded by a bouncy puppy :D If your dog was much younger, Having a playmate could be great - but I'm not sure about inflicting a bouncing. demanding pup on an older dog... -
Oh Nasty. Hope you find a nice slobbery GSD friend .....a fluffy one- kinda like 'the hair of the dog ....(that bit you ') Seriously , I can understand you being very shaken up. That sounded a very frightening few minutes indeed. Glad the council are looking for the dog and its owners. :D

Sounds more like cattle feed, than dog feed:(

If she was weaned onto raw, and was only eating that- then yes, she may not like kibble at all
-
probably because it was not a sexual hump- but a dominance hump , if that makes sense ...

Wow- you're a glutton for punishment - 2 ratbag labs !! Thank heaven they come equipped with that goofy grin :D First thing I would suggest is a visit from a professional behaviouirist/trainer -ASAP ..... not a 'quick-fix' franchise, but someone who has the expertise to observe/assess and then provide you with the 'tools' and strategies you will need . If new boy is humping the other dog.. .hopefuly the other dog doesn't suddenly decide he's had enough Try and keep them separate for periods- give them both time with you alone..that way you can do work with each one , and give the other a break .. I think the new boy needs his wings clipped a bit in these early days ... more leash time with you..or crate training maybe for short periods ?Just so he can stop/listen, and learn . Hmmm.. maybe you are seeing why he was in rescue? Male labs , without proper training are

Sorry,I just cannot imagine having a dog who did this - having owned/trained many dogs, and never had one who humped anything .... it is just a foreign concept to me !
-
Mind you, sometimes it isn't so much 'stuck' out, but, being enlarged from stimulation, it just won't fit back in until it deflates a bit . Why is he allowed to hump things?

Hopefully she now will settle and start to feel comfortable. The vet visit was a GOOD idea- as that many worms can irritate the gut, and you do need to use some medicine and diet to soothe things down . I'm glad you went .

I haven't tried- but my guess is some of it could be done in Lightroom, maybe?

does that help? On the page, those links are clickable...

if he is not walking normally, if he is limping - he has pain Dogs don't think about having pain- they just LIVE and accommodate it .

Ok. I have never done anything like this, obviously, but don't you have to travel O'seas and see/work with a rare breed first, so you can then choose your stud stock, accurately assess what is needed to improve the breed, and what care etc they really need?? It sounds very scary to me! And expensive ... they are a beautiful looking dog - LINK

2-in-1 sounds a good option to me - provided the vet is good at this type of surgery ;)Not every vet is a surgeon- some are much better diagnosticians.... and some are not real good at either
