  1. Ermmm. unless you address it NOW - and get the other family members to also work at it ... My guess is that things will be worse in another 6 months
  2. Oh, gosh :D I hope he has a good night ... sending prayers.
  3. My way of thinking is that if he is feeling pressured by dogs at the park.and has had to resort to snapping... then why do it to him? yes, he needs to be nice to dogs generally, but there must be a reason he has started to snap....and it shows he is not happy. Taking small dogs to dog parks is not compulsory What is he like when leash walking and encountering other dogs? has his behaviour changed AT ALL around home? even something little ....like being less bouncy, or eating slower,or walking different speeds...
  4. Oh It will hurt a lot ... but you have lots of smiles and memories to draw on . Run free and happy , Kasper
  5. Very tire and/or sore , would be my guess. A check by vet or canine chiro may be an idea
  6. ..is this what the vet recommended? The best idea would be to find out exactly what type of problem the dog has- it may not even be a fungus Appropriate treatment can then be given. Putting the possibly incorrect remedy on could cause more problems Not to mention if your dog eats t e powder off his feet (which he will do )
  7. Another Vet opinion would be a good idea I think! Hope she is ok soon and.. I totally agree here!!!! <<<<<yup I'm a meany. For sores I let them hurt unless the pain is pretty bad. Lets the dog know to NOT run about like a loony for a while and let the area heal.>>>>> quote thingy not working
  8. These are fantastic captures of a wonderfully adapted plant! They are wonderful macro subjects!
  9. It could well be hypoglycaemia ... A friend's dog collapsed a few times before they found out is was not his heart ..Vets weren't looking for low blood sugar at first. Once they realised what it was, it was simply a matter of management, from memory .he lived a good long life .
  10. My old dog was on prednil most of his life..he died at around age 12 ...
  11. perhaps get it printed at a friend's place, or at another place? OR.. if you can, adjust the pic to be printed on the screen... so it is a bit lighter, see how that prints out ? I print my own copies..don't print many ..but that way I can adjust them if needed. ( I only use a point/shoot camera, too ) Agree with kja.Put a copy up on here, and let us have a look Also - have a look for Dju's thread about getting a new camera! Lots of info there
  12. How lucky were you! ermmm, that is some view!!!!!!
  13. I would be keeping him as a part of the household ..he is not being punished- just confined :D I also figure if he is away from you, howling/barking/jumping...then he is not exactly resting!! Keep him where he is privy to household happenings- it will give him something to look at/smell/hear Plonk crate outside too - so he can see stuff
  14. Hope things heal quickly :D I would just take things slowly and very matter-of-fact ." It happened - big deal.. today's a normal day" type thing. have him on a long leash and just go about things as per normal.. take treats perhaps, and if he is bright and brave- he gets the treats (make sure he knows you have them!
  15. I hadn't even considered saving as anything other than jpg . Hmmm.... Mine seem to print out at A4 ok as jpg. Must try themat something else..TIFF,as lightroom won't accept PNG.
  16. Laid back, not boisterous ...sounds PERFECT ! ( but then again I'm no dog training afficionado )
  17. ?? That sounds a good plan Also- may I suggest that is not a case of 'bad aim' Bad aim,and suddenly realising that a human hand is in his mouth should , IMO,have been corrected by him very smartly .The fact he is still doing it suggests to me that he is enjoying whatever reaction he is getting when he does it ...and he may also be trying to remove the toy from your posession.
  18. Yep- poor Leroy- having a vet comfortable with not trying to isolate the allergen and give you a chance to know what to manage/treat . When my dog was allergic - life was not good .
  19. Agreed- why do it? Use food/praise and see how you go? Or try clickerwork - this works for some dogs
  20. check the ingredients, but I would think there would be no problem ..
  21. :D no coffee - my brain saw sms and registered phone
