  1. perhaps- but there are LOTS of things one can transport in a traytop or ute which can not fit into a stationwagon. Motorbikes/hay bales/furniture/building materials/large boxes........
  2. Please do NOT put anything on the wounds...keep them dry and let the air get to them. let the A/Bs do their stuff. Hair loss is because that skin layer was very damaged- and so are the hair follicles It is an injury..and will slowly grow more skin. No collar for some time either- new skin is very fragile ..and infection may be introduced again Perhaps walk him in a no pull harness for now? I would hate to hear of new problems. So - was it a cut or bites? Sounds as if it was bites . Did he get cellulitis?
  3. I would love to have a deerhound ..my Kieran was a deerhoundX but after having lost him to bloat/torsion ..after 7 years of worrying it would happen- 'knowing' that was how he was going to die ..I feel I could not ever have a deep chested dog again. His temperament was to die for ..he was so gentle and soft and just absolutely wonderful.......I am smitten ..but ...
  4. Perhaps when doggy door is in operation cats can be in another room /area? Can you enclose them in their outdoor run while dogs are free ranging?
  5. Doggy door with magnetic opening thingy? Only animals with magnet things on collars can get thru....
  6. Just be aware that a relatively closed in canvas shelter may get VERY hot . our dogs, being workers(sheepdogs) spend a lot of hours on the back of the 4WD!! They are chained on short, well swivelled chains ..and there are often 6 of them . They have either wool or matting on which to stand ..and a shade cloth canopy in Summer. I hate seeing dogs on bare metal trays... on chains long enough to slip over the edge.. and in vehicles parked in the sun We have only ever had one mishap/injury in many many years .. ,about 35 years ago, something came undone ..and it ended very badly, with a dog dying. ETA we never take our dogs to town like that , so there are no problems associated with traffic/the public.

  16. She eats a 1/4 bowl of what ? If you have only had her two weeks , then perhaps she is only used to eating what her previous owner fed her? if she has lost a lot of weight in 2 weeks- perhaps thee is something wrong. What did the vet say?
