  1. If you are hesitant, and the dog is not co operating, you definitely need to get her to a vet, and as said, perhaps have her sedated and have her ears thoroughly checked and cleaned . The vet tor nurse should also be able to show you what else to do at home..and what to keep an eye out for Hopefully someone will give you the name of a vet near you ..and you can get this sorted.
  2. I would find a different vet ..don't fiddle around at home.
  3. Thanks- that's the word I was thinking of !
  4. Your puppy is doing what puppies do! Playing !! They vocalise a lot - yipping, growling, etc . Please don't intervene at this stage - let him enjoy
  5. There is very much a limit here- in addition, I refuse to subject an animal to extended periods of pain/discomfort for a 'maybe' prognosis.
  6. Oh, I have something in my eyes..... beautiful.
  7. ..why do people laugh when their dog is terrified? Static electricity, maybe.. or a crackle or something you can not hear? Poor dog.
  8. THat last shot nearly made me choke on my drink!! ;) Those are terrific photos!! Go Sunny!!
  9. Ahh, Thanks. Not a bait of some sort?Cane toad poison? What toxin is it that the decomposition produces, do you know?

  12. If you want more info on feeding raw - which will let her chew- provide lots of nutrients, and stop smelly poo... have a read HERE
  13. This is not always the case ;) However- that stuff is mostly lanolin- and while I wouldn't apply it to wounds..it will certainly help with dry sore skin.
  14. Welcome ;) Click on this LINK for some handy information
  15. Just a slight aside... Ok- so a dog run is built .. a dog is inside . This dog lunges at and snaps at unknown children ..when out walking, or if children are on her territory. I just wonder how this dog will feel/react locked in a run..hearing/seeing kids in 'her' yard/house..and being restricted like that?Could it escalate a problem? The boarding out suggestion ..for a highly strung dog s..not sure at all about that being in teh dog's best interests, unfortunately.
  16. Sounds normal to me - 3 months is a long time!
  17. Your kids need to have friends over- being with peers, making friends, sharing home life is important please contact a professional about this situation. As there is biting involved, and the problem may be inherited, I recommend someone like DR.Robert Holmes. It is a serious situation, and you are right in being hesitant at trying some suggestions, in case things escalate.I would also NOT consider rehoming a dog who is human aggressive. I hope you can get some help soon.
  18. Do not leave him unsupervised.EVER. Bones are usually preferred over furniture Never had a chewer,so can't really help.
