If you can't feel ribs- your dog has too much padding Why not alternate his meals? One day.. his chicken frame Next day, his dry/meat/veg? That way he is still getting a variety of taste/texture and nutrients ..just not all at once

When working with kennels full of labs.. all those with KC used be dosed up- and it did help with coughing- it also quietened them down so they rested

Brown lawn is usually because it is dry Putting fertiliser on can actually make things worse, as most fertiliser is made up of mineral salts .AFAIK.

You're frustrated? So is SHE! She wants to get out and run and sniff and play.... so she digs under the fence ! if she is getting a couple of good long walks, plus training each day ... then you need to perhaps build her a secure run , where she can be safe when not supervised . if she is not getting enough mental stimulation ( a backyard is interesting for about 2 hours ...then a dog knows exactly what is in it ) then try to involve her in lots more stuff. netting as someone said can help , also an electric 'piing string' or similar is a good plan You may also consider putting down tin/colourbond ..like an extension of the fence.. straight down for about 50 cm. Can you leave her inside when you are away? That way she is being kept safe . I bet she can move the dirt away quickly, too! ;)

I would also advise getting Xrays done.. by someone experienced in specifics like HD . That way , anything obvious can be addressed before any more damage is done ..and you will have more information on which to base decisions. best of luck with it ... -
get him to lick/eat ice cubes- this will slow down bleeding :p

Not unless the dog is really dirty or smelly , or has a skin condition, or is used as a therapy dog or show dog or something....IMO. :p

Ouch! I really think you should find a vet who will listen and help Hoping you find an answer soon.

Hi- What do you mean by 'an inflammation' ? Was there a red area, an area that was swollen...bigger than usual, and hot to touch? was there pain? was the dog holding up his leg and /or limping? A visit to your vet would be the best ... he knows your dog, and can soon see what is wrong/different. He can also provide you with medecine to help, plus managing it if it is an ongoing thing. oops- forgot. There are shar pei folks on here who may help you more with the shar pei/hock disease aspect .
