  1. There is very much a limit here- in addition, I refuse to subject an animal to extended periods of pain/discomfort for a 'maybe' prognosis.
  2. Oh, I have something in my eyes..... beautiful.
  3. ..why do people laugh when their dog is terrified? Static electricity, maybe.. or a crackle or something you can not hear? Poor dog.

  11. Just a slight aside... Ok- so a dog run is built .. a dog is inside . This dog lunges at and snaps at unknown children ..when out walking, or if children are on her territory. I just wonder how this dog will feel/react locked in a run..hearing/seeing kids in 'her' yard/house..and being restricted like that?Could it escalate a problem? The boarding out suggestion ..for a highly strung dog s..not sure at all about that being in teh dog's best interests, unfortunately.
  12. Sounds normal to me - 3 months is a long time!
  13. Your kids need to have friends over- being with peers, making friends, sharing home life is important please contact a professional about this situation. As there is biting involved, and the problem may be inherited, I recommend someone like DR.Robert Holmes. It is a serious situation, and you are right in being hesitant at trying some suggestions, in case things escalate.I would also NOT consider rehoming a dog who is human aggressive. I hope you can get some help soon.
  14. Do not leave him unsupervised.EVER. Bones are usually preferred over furniture Never had a chewer,so can't really help.
  15. not if they inhale it Calendula tea sounds good Can lactating bitches not have anti histamines?
  16. yep. Years ago where I worked, we used to routinely ACP dogs before long flights.........until someone explained exactly what happened . Not good. great as a pre med, and just for keeping a dog quiet after surgery ...when there is no real anxiety
  17. Camera- Hmm..had a brief play with a friend's 450D ...and was very pleased to hand it back had a decent sized lens on it..so was very heavy ..and I didnt get along at all happily with either auto or manual focus I have now slowed right down
  18. if there is no vet available- maybe ph> the emergency number anyhow ....keep him warm and crated tonight- no steps ,being picked up or on furniture..and vet first thing in the morning ! If he's not a chewer, perhaps give him a warm wheat bag or HW bottle, well wrapped Poor little man
