  1. Perhaps have a look here? LINK
  2. To clear it up- you need to find WHY it is doing that. To find out WHY .. a vet should examine the eye and surrounds . So - I suggest a vet appointment is made , so you can then treat it correctly, and get rid of it for good Using various medicated drops/creams may confuse the issue ..or do damage.
  3. One of working dogs wears a muzzle when doing yard work... he knows when we say "Come put your helmet on"..and comes & stands, ready
  4. I had a look at the stuff you posted here FB link now fixed
  5. Glad the foxie is OK- and I hope he finds a home able to cater for his attitude . Your Akita will enjoy the peace, by the sounds of it ....
  6. My Kieran used to do this every morning, early... until I started giving him a small snack at bed time
  7. Hmmm.. I have been reading this with interest, also the stories on their facebook page I loved your youtube vids, GSD'Sever edit - link fixed ( I hope)
  8. Hoping all is well this morning , and that you get to hear some news.
  9. I just put it on..and then go somewhere exciting.... have never had too many problems .
  10. ..and I am thinking that the two dogs may never be able to be run together like before Horrible situation. A lot of us have been there.
  11. That's awful. I hope your little foxy will pull through.
  12. Hmmmm... Our dogs have mostly all been working dogs .. living the 44gallon drum/chain/hard work lifestyle... illness has been a very infrequent happening. Very occasionally a dog will get ill and require vet treatment ,but not often at all... 2 times in the last 10 years that I can think of One pyo, one obstruction. I couldn't agree more.
  13. I use a plastic basket muzzle .. but the Italian made one . I have tried another sort....looked very similar,..but didn't have a leather strap, and it was awful..too tight on the cheekbones..and odd shape. My old Italian one has been used by quite a few of our dogs.. bashed, scraped.... and is still fine I have had it about 6 years. Hamlet used to wear it constantly when out in the bush ... panting is no problem ... Make sure you fit it first
  14. I guess ...guess that dogs with no front dewclaws would need a vet certificate or something???
  15. Ok- that's me out of the equation.. if she had the runs before whelping...pups had the runs at a few days old.... and now mum's got the runs again... I think a vet should be consulted- faecal sample , etc ... just to see what's going on. I was going to suggest charcoal tablets and psyllium husks for simple tummy upset... but I think you should get things checked- with 11 babies depending on her/you . Hope she and the pups do well for you
  16. I agree with this.... oh, and change vets, now. If they don't like peis... not much use depending on them 120% ,IMO
  17. I'm glad that first diagnosis is not cancer, shek. I hope you don't have too much of a struggle in finding out a definitive diagnosis ..and hope it is indeed from his soccer playing .Shinguards for him now .. just to protect the area
  18. Dear little man - he will feel more comfortable re-hydrated Good thinking.. unfortunately dogs don't understand "visiting hours" ..and just get very upset again when we leave them Best he rest and heal for now, IMO . Thinking of you all....
  19. More important is WHY has she developed soft poo How soft is soft ? has her diet changed? What is her normal post whelping diet?? Is she otherwise healthy/happy? There are other things you can use ...depending on what he cause is. It is often better/easier to remove the cause .
  20. At this stage, your little dog is concentrating on himself, and what pain etc he is feeling... he will just need to rest , and won't fret much unless he sees you again... I am so pleased he is finally in hospital ! Hope he improves with good treatment now Oh..and no way. Pancreatitus is a very painful and debilitating disease and can be fatal. My bolded bit.
  21. The best bones are the non-weight bearing ones ..i.e. NOT leg bones. beef ribs/lamb ribs..whole necks ,NOT neck 'chops' oxtail, chicken frames .. roo tails....
