  1. I'd be inclined ,for a first timer to give her her OWN area .. so she doesn't get confused, as she is now, and ignore new babies to sleep under your bed . She needs to be totally with the new bubs to bond strongly now ...with no distractions for a few days ..so she gets into the habit .If her maternal instinct is not strong..she may gradually spend longer away, and sleep in her normal spots... just my 2c worth....
  2. Rainy- it's just a matter of emailing the original photo to someone who can do a good job in photoshop They can fix it,and then email it back to you!.... I'm sure one of the photoshop gurus will see this and reply
  3. Hey.. I had a play in photo Pos pro PS could probably do a smoother job :p...and if you were wanting to blow it up, someone would need the original on which to work
  4. Eye dirt? I presume you mean a discharge? if it has any greenish yellow colour to it, your pup probably has conjunctivitis ..and , to make sure , rule out injury, get correct treatment, a vet visit is advised. Conjunctivitis can be caused by all sorts of things, including injury .It can also be passed from dog to dog .... You might get help by clicking on these links LINK LINK LINK
  5. there is a steroid-responsive meningitis ..... Thinking of Shiloh and you. ;hug:
  6. Not sure if it is allergy related- but it sounds like she has a lot of nausea for some reason.... and a thorough vet check (bloodwork included) may help.
  7. Dunno - Perhaps they were a draught horse driver in a previous life? but I bet the dog was gleaming and shiny, too! Would have looked lovely , I think!
  8. I am not one for dressing dogs .... BUT I love Hamlet's Woofstock Collar When I had Kieran .. a very large brindle 'roo dog' type beast.. I took him to town a lot ,and in shops etc. To help ..I bought him a bright red collar, and painted bones etc on it in bright colours. I hung a large stainless steel teddybear on the collar, too ...The opposite of the black leather/studded collar ;) It worked a treat! Folks looked at the happy bright collar ... and saw the large brindle dog in a different light Collars can say a lot !! Collars on dogs can give an impression of owners - is the collar a flimsy thing- just for show? is it a sturdy serviceable oiled leather? Is it one which suits the breed? Is the collar and leash a set..or just something grabbed in a hurry ? Is the collar tattered and well worn? Is the collar a length of chain, maybe, or an old belt, refurbished? They all have a message ;)
  9. I love your photos!..and she is beautiful! 3rd,4th & last photos are my favourites
  10. When the vet induced vomiting, you should have seen who had remnants of poison in their vomit .... How worrying for you With rat poison, AFAIK it can take some days for any symptoms to become apparent ....and the blood test in 2 weeks will test the clotting ability of their blood . Thinking of you ......
  11. LUPINE have a nice darker solid purple Also HERE Hamlet has a Lupine collar ..'woofstock' pattern
  12. My vet did up a consent form.If a dog was to be PTS the owner/ownerS had to sign the form. This was done after a nasty relationship break up ..and one party had the other's dog PTS for non existent reasons We did on more than one occasion talk folks out of PTS an unwanted pet ... and rehomed them
  13. A dark green? oohh..this has purple! Sexy collar! LINK leather & tattoo!! :D
  14. oh :D That's a sad tale. Good on the doctor Oursurgery was TINY ... and often I would have a distraught client on my 'office' chair sipping water (with rescue remedy added) until I thought it safe to let them into their car . I would not let people drive in that state !
  15. Probably not perhaps introduce him gradually to a nice soft muzzle ..so that when you are doing stuff with him you won't be sending subconscious anxiety messages ,fearing a bite? His muzzle could be the 'key' to a special walk/car ride/small treat /cuddle ... Hard for you- I'm sorry. :D
  16. Ours could not tolerate the Coprice at all ...but did fine on Bonnie . :D
  17. yeah..but I just have smaller point&shoot cameras , that's possibly why :D
  18. Picasa straightening does work.. but leaves my pics fuzzy. It is the only bit about PICASA in which I am very disapppointed. yep picasa pics are copies... if you want to use the edited photos- you need to EXPORT them to somewhere... like the original folder..or a folder marked 'edited' or somewhere easy to find. Export them as ORIGINAL size and MAXIMUM resolution.
  19. Slightly OT For many years we reared joeys to adulthood on cow's milk .. powdered! it was all we had- the formulae hadn't been invented then! Most of them did ok
  20. My first thought was MENINGITIS. Can't remember who, but someone on here posted about their dog with it a while ago.... perhaps suggest it to the vet? I did some looking, and found : LINK I hope they discover a cause , and can get her on the road to recovery soon.
