...and then again, he may just have been cleaning himself ! Dogs licking bums and then kissing humans is why i discourage our dogs licking of human skin.

Nz Earthquake - 6.3 In Christchurch

The footage ,unedited, on SKYnews was reminiscent of the aftermath of 9/11 Thoughts & prayers for all affected. -
debarking is able to be done by vets in some situations, with vet and council red tape sorted, AFAIK. he may well just have a very raspy voice after barking continually while in kennels, or he may have been debarked. owners may get dog debarked to shut him up , but still keep him entire- best of luck with him ... and I hope he settles at home.

Sounds as if he needs a decent kennel.. full of warm bedding ..NOT just a flat pad which provides nothing A kennel need no be elaborate ... if there is shelter from rain,it can be a strong carton from a fridge! face the opening away from southerly breezes .. fill it with opshop blankets etc .. and throw a handful of treats in there occasionally so he gets to love it

I can recommend coats bought HERE

Agree totally with poodlefan. Please, when she gets wings etc leave her ALONE ..in a crate or room... and don't annoy her when she's eating- it only exacerbates what is there Training is one thing... (and you need the help of a professional to approach it correctly) - unknowingly helping to escalate her aggression levels is another. if you need a professional to be recommended to you, ask on here

What fantastic shots!!!
-
have a look HERE they make very tough toys!
-
I use a fine chain leash to start they don't enjoy chewing it much.
-
Great shots- and it is nice to see the dogs doing what they are made to do

..or you could also look at these images ;) It's often very difficult to isolate 2 separate breeds in a mixed breed dog ..and often there a re more than a couple of breeds involved, if both parents are themselves mixed breed he's lovely ,whatever ! LINK LINK LINK

Hmmm.. he has his moments . he has never been a chewer..or anything like that ..but has absolutely no finesse or gracefulness. The other week.. when Mum was recovering from a seizure, and was placed on a mattress in the kitchen temporarily ... Hamlet ran outside thru the kitchen... straight ON top of poor mum, who worried she had busted ribs! ;) he also barks , like other dogs wag their tails ... the happier he is.. the louder it is yesterday , for some weird reason my Bro, decided to take Hamlet for a ride on the motorbike (because H was sitting in the front of the 4WD , and P thought he wanted a ride ) Well.. it lasted about 3 metres..H jumped off and back into the 4 WD !

banjucy have you read THIS THREAD?

poor dog Anyway.... start him BEFORE you move, as has been suggested . It will be much less stressful. I would also suggest crate training him What's the difference in him sleeping on a blanket beside your bed...and sleeping on a blanket inside a crate alongside your bed? Then move the crate to the bedroom door... then outside ...then to the livingroom .. all can be done happily before April Make sure the crate is not one of those enclosed all plastic ones- him being hairy, and in WA you would be better getting a crate large enough for him to stretch out/sit up ..and one with flow-thru ventilation ,IMO.

Oh yes! I forgot about that
-
I also never increase food - I prefer the bitches to be a bit lean and fit . After whelping, then it's free feeding
-
he looks like a gorgeous bitsa - I don't know much about Dutch Sheps, but wouldn't think there'd be too many crosses running around . I would also say kelpie X with staffy or another X . Both your dogs look very happy
