maybe ask the vet? Hard to tell from a description, really .. there are so many things which can affect skin ..I hope it's something vey simple and easily treated/managed

Malaseb is a medicated shampoo with active ingredients in there to kill stuff like malassezia (sp) on skin, some fungi and bacteria. edit to say , it is not ,AFAIK, recommended for everyday use- it for use with diagnosed skin conditions. Aloveen is mainly a gentle oat/aloe shampoo- no anti fungals/bacterial action.

Shame the dogs don't chase cats! we use flea bombs here ..with an elderly parent , dogs/cats/caged bird, and have had no problems .Just make sure you follow instructions , and ,if you can, air the house out for most of a day afterwards...

KtB - bewildered and confused after desexing has not much to do with being away from their humans, and everything to do with having a general pre meds and a general anaesthetic -nothing much works properly for some time, including brains

More Questions About My Foster Boy - Huey!
persephone replied to PoppyDog's topic in General Dog Discussion
I was wondering about this .. he is not desexed..and has he had all his needles? It is a bit of a risk always, bringing in a strange dog without knowing about vacc history/quarantine etc .. Hope all is well . Unfortunately, he & poppy were together yesterday -
yes. We can do it with love for our pets ..but are not allowed to act on a human's request. We can be very cruel in forcing someone to prolong the agony.

Found this caterpillar on a vine. It seems to have tiny pink arms ..with hands ! Its skin is also peeling ..I guess because it is growing and growing, as Very Hungry Caterpillars do

Glad it went well for you

1.4 And 1.8 What's The Difference Please?
persephone replied to Rozzie's topic in Photos, Photos, Photos
Rozzie- does THIS help ? or just confuse your limoniacal brain -
Don't let him have free run in the house - keep him on leash and make sure he follows the rules. It's Poppy's house- he is a guest, and should not be roaming and trying to boss her around . If he is used to being crated...then do that , instead of leaving him.Freedom of a room/house is something to be earned ..... well, it is here, anyway .

I don't have many printed, but I do up to A4 myself with a canon pixma printer ..and if I want larger ones for gifts , I get redbubble to do the work for me

Rott'nBullies.. so you are happy for the pups born blind and deaf, the ones with cleft palate, or the ones with badly malformed limbs to be kept alive, and as pets,at any cost ?

Adjusting New Puppy To Crates, Kennels And Dog Runs.
persephone replied to Naomi's topic in Puppy Chat
I too think it is a bit sudden to leave him outside at night when he has not been trained to stay alone in the pen.... could you crate him indoors while you're out? I am all for pups being taught to stay alone and outdoors !!! But this is all a bit hurried and will probably not be a nice experience for pup -
Adjusting New Puppy To Crates, Kennels And Dog Runs.
persephone replied to Naomi's topic in Puppy Chat
You 've left the training a bit late ... I would have suggested a few minutes each day, a few times a day ..to eat his meal, or treats..gradually lengthening the time . If he cries.. do NOT talk to him, or let him out. Even if he goes for a hour. he now has to learn that his noise brings no relief . When he's quiet, preferably sleeping or playing ..THEN go and just let him out... No talking or fuss. Just open the gate and carry on with what you are doing . NO "poor charlie, now I'll get you out ..." Not even a "hello" ..HIS reward for being quiet is NOT your attention, really, but to be back with his pack ..... -
Whilst these things do show you're serious.. what you DO need is a good professional to work with you at home .Not just discuss ...and please do not even think about an e collar without having a professional see your dog and the problems you mentioned !! yes, you do need a second fence ..not just tiles and stuff blocking holes ,and you will get some good ideas from folks here who have done the same .
