IF this boy does have a chance at all of recovering some movement /independence, he should be with a zoo or private carer, and be treated and respected for what he is .
-
;) It's a very useful behaviour- also practiced by cows ,etc ..lets any male who has missed the signs know that someone is in season
-
I doubt it- he is only a baby yet :p He WILL, tho be trying to get away , which is worse

Yes, casowner. I have friends who rehab injured roos - and they have done some amazing work ...BUT it is all with the aim of having the roo as an independent animal ...not a house pet or ornament or surrogate child.

This is cruelty . A kangaroo can NOT live vicariously, as can a human... A kangaroo can not read/enjoy TV/play mind games to keep entertained. Poor kangaroo is totally dependent , and , of course, seems accepting and gentle and snuggly ... kangaroos do enjoy physical contact ..BUT this poor thing has no way to escape if he does NOT want to participate . How very sad. Leela - can you describe for me what this Kangaroo can do to make itself feel happy? Do you know what makes a kangaroo happy ? Yes, if they asked me to , I would try & help. And, for the record, if I was ever to be paralysed from the neck down, and totally dependent , I would hope someone would do me the kindness of assisting with my euthanasia.

She was a beautiful, gentle girl, by the looks of it ...so wonderful around the children ..speaking of which- OMG just HOW cute are your babies!!!! I just love the photo of the 'three-in-a-basket' .....

I agree with this - it's not fair on your dog to put him in a position where he can be intimidated Find some nice friendly dogs belonging to family/friends,and organise walks/playdates or whatever , instead of unknown dogs with owners who may not be responsible.

or perhaps get a nice enclosure for the cats - so they can safely be outside...away from windows!

Ouch Poor dog. Lucky you got her to a vet quickly!! I hope she has a bucket on her head , or an elizabethan collar to stop her undoing all the good work! Now comes the fun bit ... working out ways to stop her doing it again

They won't do any damage to the food- or your dog , really. Just move the bag and leave it undisturbed and open for a couple of hours - ants will leave. Then put remainder in a plastic container Any ants left after a few hours will die very soon after you tip the remainder in your new bin (around the exterior, of which, you have sprayed surface spray in several wide bands )

It's beautiful

I know what it's like - to lose one to bloat . :hug. Run free and smiling, Bonnie - now all that pain has been taken away .

Does Your Dog Get "depressed"?
persephone replied to Pretty Miss Emma's topic in General Dog Discussion
Kenzie may well be reacting to Emma's illness/absence, ...or (heaven forbid) she may be feeling a bit ill herself. poor girl . :D -
YOU need to discipline him.... if all undesexed dogs humped - we would be in trouble But ,luckily they don't , cos they are trained not to - and have lots of other things to interest them , and they learn that it gets them no attention which is worthwhile Simple answer? When you know these friends are coming- dog stays on his leash, or in his crate, or outside .The car seat gets put elsewhere ..or has stuff put on/around it, and he is always on a leash around other dogs so he doesn't get into a habit. One day he will attempt to hump the wrong dog!!! :p You only ever give a command ONCE. If he doesn't obey- then, with NO further conversation... you remove him- using a leash. Mind you ,bullies may need to be handled a bit differently, I have no experience with them I am glad he's going well at obedience- well done!
