  2. I think it means you need to get that size filter , yes
  3. sumosmum!! and Monty That was a pretty good segment actually - apart from the LDH representative *sigh*
  4. Bugga Hoping the girl is strong enough to fight this .
  5. Home is on the Murray's banks .. amongst sandhills and grasslands
  6. The muzzle you posted a link to is, IMO, not suitable for anything with a muzzle of any width. They are also harder plastic than the same design, but made in Italy ones ,.and seem to poke into the dog's face below the eyes etc. I bought a few ,as they looked the same as Hamlet's wonderful old Italian one ... WRONG. (we have koolies & koolie x's ) Those jafco ones look nice & wide and much more comfortable than the cheap ones
  7. my zoom lens (canon) has 58mm written on it up towards the front , so I buy 58 mm filters. This lens is a 75-300 zoom - but those numbers are length, not diameter ;)
  8. Spotted this evening, coming home from town .. and no , he's not blind- just blinking as he yawns ;)
  9. Time for a vet check .. to rule out any infection or other problem, ..... then maybe , if everything is clear, you will need to set up a plan .
  10. everyone got off lightly in that story!!
  11. can't help - but use calcium ascorbate with the dogs
  12. to walk at or near heel on loose lead when asked.. loose longer lead otherwise, left hand side. NO sniffing or toileting unless I say so . That's basically it .
  13. Hi and welcome. Wow. For a first time dog - you picked a very active smart breed, and a teenager!! Interesting choice Formal training on weekends is to help teach you how to train your dog - daily practice is essential! may I recommend you have a read of these two things .... they are very useful tools to help you and your pup understand each other, and for your pup to pay you teh 'right' sort of attention. LINK LINK because she will be alone all day - she needs to be safe - as in good high fences, shelter, and locked gates . She also needs things to help her pass the time - like a couple of interactive toys .. a soccer ball, a chewy toy , a sandpit, maybe - so she can dig for buried treats/toys - and maybe a paddling pool Some folks scatter dry food around, so teh pup spends time 'hunting' for breakfast - or you can use a treat ball like THIS I'm sure there will be lots of other help ... have fun!
  14. ...and something you are happy to yell in public ;)
  15. Gert, who usually gets "Turtle" often does get addressed by her 'full' name " Gertrude Evangelina" ! so short names can be lengthened too! :D
  16. perhaps phone the company? I don't know much about them, but presume the actual wire is buried a short distance underground- with visible markers, like pegs/flags to help the dog learn where the boundary is during the training days . Oh just re read the post - at neck level? Yep ,those little pigtail posts seem a good plan ..so you then don't have to worry about other things. Not at all sure how you will stop your other dog running under/through it though
  17. So what exactly do you have ? Does it have a name? Does it not have instructions, or a website? For a jumping dog, maybe have a read of this old thread CLICK HERE . and this one : CLICK HERE
  18. name them whatever you like- nicknames usually take over anyway ;)
