  1. Not sure if this is correct or not - came from another forum ... but I cannot find anything on the gov't product recall page, or Dermcare's page ,,,
  2. Yes. It may not even have been a bite - rather a badly split lip from a head butt ... ... may be........
  3. That is a great update _ I can almost see your grin!
  4. folks who have no idea of a dog's capabilities should have been with me this afternoon -had to use a dog to catch a sheep for me ..and yes, she used her teeth/weight to do so when told.
  5. IF the reporting is correct .....
  6. I've only met one - and he was lovely loved bush camping trips- was terrific with the little kids ,and was a good watchdog .
  7. ...and, IMO why we are seeing many more people with bites. DOGS BITE !! joe public is not exposed anymore to hunting dogs/suburban dogs fighting over bitches/food as used to happen ..or people having a 'bitey' dog in their yard ... joe public is too well insulated from dog, the predator/carnivore/animal and collective memory is disappearing amongst a soft fluffy ,perfumed cloud of cuddly lapdog. ..and so many dogs have no idea of what they are or how to behave anymore ....for varying reasons... they should be treated with respect and caution - especially unknown dogs. It is such a sad way we are 'progressing'
  8. ;) my old cockerXBC used to have one of those .. I used to gel it and have it sticking up! :p
  9. Check with your vet when you have your 'new puppy' checkup , perhaps? When was pup last wormed ,and with what? Are you in an area noted for heartworm? Do you have noticeable fleas in the area? What did the pup's breeder suggest/use?
  10. he's a dog - and this is what a lot of them do. if you don't like it - perhaps take him to training, where he learns to do other things around all sorts of different dogs? ..or don't let him approach strange dogs? Sometimes frustrated entire pet dogs get a scent of an in season bitch... and because they have no idea really of what's going on - they instinctively seek out the owner of the scent .. by extra sniffing, etc .
  11. We have had BCxKoolie pups tricolour like that
  12. glad you will have things under control now - poor little fella . I usually rinse dog bedding ( and ours ) using Canesten or similar rinse- just to kill off any nasties ..
  13. BC x kelpie , or 'aussie shepherd' ...maybe X or ..... how old .. ? We need more photos though.. that is VERRRY CUTE!!!
  14. OK I thought, they looked, at first glance, to be safer than a step ladder arrangement , sorry Chris & Rhett .
  15. YES! We raise any pups on supercoat and heaps of fresh - goat, rabbit, roo- on the bone . Adults get fresh/raw and /or Uncle Albers . No veges, no extra rice etc.
  16. Dogs need to learn to be happy alone It is one thing which will save all sorts of worries during her life You will need to work, go out and enjoy life - she needs to learn to play by herself, use self control, relax when alone .....but if you have a clingy and dependent dog and an over protective fussing owner - that's not a healthy relationship ! Thank teh stars you have a pup who seems level headed and sensible
  17. ;) and they won't while you continue to carry them.
