Glad you have found a vet .. pouring something into an ear with an unknown problem is probably not very wise
-
Run free over that bridge, maggie ...

!!!! oh Dear
-
If it were me, I'd be off to the vet ...Summertime, pup, all sorts of virus and bacteria enjoying teh warm moist weather ... chance of dehydration or serious gut problem.... best to get it looked at, and stopped before anything else develops.

Mozzie coils in spots the dogs/mozzies like to hang out I use the mozzie coils which come in a little tin hanger /container .. they cover a reasonable area ..and certainly help . Last year when we had thick swarms...( there were coils burning 24/7 ..hanging from trees.. on the ground .. in teh porch ..everywhere. just remember smoke rises.. do don't hang them high....if you place them in shaded/green areas..they will dter mozzies from resting/feeding there. if you don't have cats ...and depending what flea stuff you use .. consider a light spray of permoxin in the afternoon . I did this with all our`dogs everyday last Summer ... just a fine mist over head/legs/belly .

Seems you have some hard work to do .. I would suggest you immediately start on Nothing In Life Is Free , and K9Pro's Triangle Of Temptation. That will help give him the right ideas!

At the vet YOU use? Did the vet check include watching pup walk/run , joint manipulation , checking bite/teeth,eyes, scrotum , etc ?

the bleeding on top of the toes ..that suggests to me that he is not lifting his feet/toes correctly..and they are dragging. No more walks outside your yard for now, I suggest . He doesn't need them at this stage anyway ... There is a lot of training you can do in the backyard Any suggestions from his breeder? If you have not, it would be a good idea to book him in for the "I have a new puppy, is he OK, are all his bits there, and is there anything I need to be concerned about? " check with the vet. This first checkup is important, as the vet sees teh pup soon after leaving teh breeder- can say 'hi' without needles etc , and can note any problems which are present . He is baby- he will cry, and yes, he does need attention ;)

Did the owners not tell you teh dog's routine ..possible bad habits etc ?Hard for you to manage if you don't know what is 'normal' ...

No.. she may whine because it is uncomfortable.... . or she may whine with anxiety because she remembers something unpleasant probably happens after she does it.. most 9 week old puppies do not have control .. they may feel they need to go ..then... it happens. No time for dog door ..or even to get outside. Correcting puppies when they toilet indoors... or even just mumbling/ feeling a bit cross then can make puppies more anxious, which leads to muddled thinking, which leads often to more toileting inddors...and so on . Toileting outdoors is cause for treats and playtime ... it is a positive thing to work towards ...

WooHoo! let the addiction begin

Good news That must make you feel better! ps: she doesn't really need much in the way of fruit - at this age she will benefit greatly from lots of good quality protein and calcium rich food

Hope pup is ok this morning .. I advise a vet check today anyway! A 'new pup' check is always a very good idea - just a thorough check to see if there is anything out of the ordinary ... and to let pup meet the vet. Go easy on food today .. keep it plain ..and make sure pup is drinking, and kept cool.

Bear & Duke .. ok ... Glad you will contact Kathy Best of luck with it.

Stopping a puppy barking using this method could kill your dog. Pups/dogs do not sweat to keep cool . they breathe in air rapidly , hang the tongue out and air cools as it travels over the moist tongue /mouth . if a puppy finds it hard work to open his mouth a couple of seconds to bark... then how much hard work must it be to KEEP his mouth open to breathe in cool air? :( If your pup can not pant , then there is the real possibility he will die from heat stress.....or become anxious and suffer other problems. If this is true, then what you are doing is cruel, IMO. If you want to help your pup, and yourself, and have honestly tried all the methods mentioned correctly I recommend investing in a professional who is trained and experienced - something which some franchise staff are possibly lacking. Contact THIS PERSON ...for professional help.
