  1. I was also wondering how this pup got flight clearance...but maybe the vet was unaware it was actually flying?
  2. You can't report the breeder to anyone, really. All you can do is try & claim on receiving inferior 'goods' Unfortunately, like so many people you have been lured into a purchase fraught with all sorts of problems, with both your family and a dear little pup paying the price. I hope your little pup can have the condition treated, and enjoy a happy and interesting life , for a good long time ! Unethical breeders are a scourge... and while they may indeed be 'registered' with a council, or a pet dog supply organisation - neither of these really provide what you would love to have - a pedigree, health test results of parents, follow-up advice, dietary help, etc. This now too late for you, but perhaps now YOU can be the voice of experience who can save puppies and new owners! Have a read of these links - there are some facts to help make things a bit clearer. LINK LINK An important PS : We are pleased to help you, although : This site is primarily for PUREBRED dogs - because of the fact that so many breeders are endeavouring to breed to better their breeds - all dogs have proven lineage and pedigree papers to prove parentage there are health checks done to discover genetic problems Ongoing support is provided by caring breeders ..often for the life of the dog .. and other things :)
  3. relaxation/warmth/gentle massage /PATIENCE ;) I wouldn't panic until 8 weeks . and how have we not seen puppy photos ? :P
  4. Just heard this on the news Horrible .
  5. The 'spot' appeared to cover quite a large area..from the inner corner, across the very bottom of the pupil- the image wasn't very clear... And could well have been blood .worth finding out where it was coming from. @Rascalmyshadow links for me were very short movies that had to be downloaded to be viewed.
  6. https://www.vetwest.com.au/solving-fleas excerpt : How do pets get fleas? Flea eggs can remain dormant for astonishingly long periods of time under a variety of conditions. They lay dormant in the garden, or in your carpet and furniture until they are able to hitch a ride. They jump great distances to find a host and travel on pets and even on people.
  7. Scary stuff. I am so glad your girl will be OK. Check on doing TITRE tests instead of annual vaccinations ... and, yes, be very cautious with that heartworm 12 mth needle. I wouldn't use it.
  8. Hi Time for a vet visit to check it out ...' brown' can often be old blood ..so it is worth a look I think.
  9. with the flea comb..comb the dog from front to back in sections, and you will catch any flea that is on him .Better than just using chemicals "in case"
  10. If my dog did that I would bath him and not use that product again chemicals can cause allergies or reactions, even in tiny amounts.
  11. Could be something else, but sounds suspiciously like a fleabite or three .
  12. Yes, he looks very much at one with life...and with such a smooth gait!( and green frisbee) lol
  13. That would have been terrifying . No question. That poor man .
  14. I find this odd, but much more comfortable, and the dog's behaviour much more natural than the poor things with hind limbs only. https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=3776024569106286&id=217293018312810
  15. I'll put in a couple of teasers http://www.australianphotography.com/news/it-s-a-dog-s-life-winning-images-from-the-kennel-club-s-dog-photographer-of-the-year-competition#disqus_thread
  16. "Not a rock star" love it!! Thanks for the update .
  17. No ... they are sight hounds, with high prey drives - bred to chase fast moving smaller animals . The muzzles are to stop them using their jaws on some fast moving small fluffy ...
  18. I know that pattern ! he will continue to lick ..cos they itch/hurt . He's not trying to sneak ...he can't help it .
  19. My first thought was some sort of seizure .... but I have no qualifications to back that up . thanks for the videos ....
  20. I'm going to suggest he wear boots when outside get some decent, well fitted ones ..not just rubbery ones which will sweat . If his feet do not have as much contact with grass .. theoretically , the inflammation should settle . the other point is that he may just be a compulsive licker/chewer when home alone . is he alone while you're at work ? Do you see him go for his feet at any particular times ? ..or does he not bother ?
  21. you are a committed and experienced dog person ...and know both the breed, and what is needed . That is what makes it work for her
  22. Hard to tell just from that Infection is more likely to produce pain, swelling, redness, smell, yucky discharge...dog not feeling 100%. More saliva can be produced if there's a delicious scent around, or if dog is a bit warmer than usual....
