that sight is fairly common here after the cats catch mice .... What good little dogs you have :)

I have an older PS but rarely go there, unless I am being purely creative .. Most stuff gets done now either in Photoscape or picasa. picasa does gobble.. but there are setting one can find & tweak . Guess I'm just used to it I do love photoscape though ... it took me a while to find all the useful bits hidden away , but it has (basic) curves and stuff... cropping/resizing is terrific and easy!

her name? Maggie Mayhem ;) She's a bit of a worry ..finding holes in the supposedly dog proof fence as she chases rabbits out the yard ... but yes, she is very much loved ..even when she chewed the speaker wires the other day :p

some of you may remember a friend 'rescuing' a little dog who then bit people.... well, she is still there.. has the odd snap at tradies still , and is a ratbag , but much loved, and has revitalised her owner :) her latest - eating the Macquarie Dictionary!

..ours pick them up from under the tree, crack the shells and eat them .. I've never noticed any problems .

:) Good to hear .. yep .. a ceiling fan on low will help , more than extra dampness , perhaps ?. Whatever keeps them comfortable :) You may want to try, tomorrow .. a couple of those frozen ice thingies for eskies, etc. I have a large one ..almost 30 cm square . I freeze it solid, wrap in a couple layers of newspaper, then put into a pillowcase , and into where pups are . IF they are hot.. , even at a few days old .. they will gravitate to it, and clamber on top, or snuggle up against it. :) Just make sure that they have plenty of room to get away from either a heat source,or a frozen item!

23 ,with a high level of humidity can be pretty uncomfortable dry heat is often easier to remedy , IMO. :)

Mostly they shouldn't , IMO. puppies only cry when they are hungry, in pain, hot or cold. My first guess is they were too hot.(open mouths) Tiny pups can NOT regulate their own temperature ..What's the temperature where they are ..as in on the floor where they are lying? It the mother panting? Stopping crying after a long period may be a good thing..or it may mean they are tired or unwell.... They may have had bellyaches or full bladders, too .... How are they lying ...

Mum of 4 girls.. that homeopathic remedy is mostly a preparation made from ............ ginger and peppermint ;) also aconite, potassium phosphate , and a couple of other things. I find homeopathic pilules not much good for dogs/cats, as they do not stay in contact with mucous membranes long enough to be correctly absorbed..prefer liquids ..... Ginger tablets poked down a throat are a sure way to get the ginger where it is required ,in a hurry . My dogs won't eat the crystallized stuff.. and it is mostly sugar anyway, which they don't need.

Have you tried ginger tablets? They certainly work on humans!! I take 2 about 20 min before travel, then 1 or two each 1/2 hour. I guess a dog dose would be smaller ..1/2 to 1 tablet , according to weight, maybe ? I buy Blackmore's ginger tabs.. and they have an advice line - maybe call them and ask?

on a property .... My guess is the babies will be easter fare ..but they are very much enjoying life :)

any chance of installing (or borrowing) a surveillance camera set up ? There are very small , inconspicuous ones ..and then you'd know what/who ;)
