Poor boy ... Keep him cool and dry .. humidity is what these infections LOOVE some dogs react to a lot of grain in their diet - what food is he on?

Imagine if you or a child has a gastro bug/sore tummy. What do you do? You probably don't eat ..you drink stuff like lectade/lucozade, and you then eat yoghurt and similar plain soft food until your tummy doesn't hurt , and is repaired...I doubt, if you have diarrhoea that you sit down to raw veges ..do you? Best rule in any suspected tummy bug is to fast for 24 hrs..lots of water available tho :) then see how things are. Hope she's ok.

My old Mitchell had lots of lipomas ..and apart from looking a bit weird , they were never a problem.. he had them on his chest/shouldersand backside....

WE get more walks in Winter ...no snakes to worry about! Love walking in the frosty damp mornings :)

What a handsome boy Bison is!! :) re: his food ..I'd be inclined to do veg raw ... and in the vitamiser/food processor , and served immediately .. so he gets all teh enzymes & vitamins etc .

That doesn't look a friendly 'thing' ....and if it has grown, then biopsy/removal sooner rather than later , is my opinion...I'd probably also suggest you maybe take him to Werribee or somewhere where there is more chance of someone having come across this before ... D O L has been a shoulder ,and an ear for me ...it is somewhere to share the silly side of life sometimes, and, importantly it is a place where I feel that what dog lore remains in my brain may be useful to others. One thing which is definitely of the warm, fuzzy variety is to have the occasional opportunity to help those who need it badly ...to actually know/see that help happen..even on the other side of a big state or country . That part of D O L , the family caring for one in need is precious. Every day I learn new facts ..get to 'know' different dog breeds, and vicariously share in the rollercoaster that is locating, loving, and losing a dog. I am grateful every day for whatever fates directed me here :)

Indi has had a couple of very big work days , so , as it was cool this morning, he retired :p to his favourite cool weather bed ..it is so warm in there , and curved 'just right'....

agree - Rusty needs to be prevented from making a mistake ..a nice basket muzzle for walks ...

ermmm that is a scary thing. agree- you now need movement activated lights, and padlocks, and to preserve the hacksaw in case fingerprints can be salvaged off it..... why would they open teh freezer ?

That's good news, indeed! :D poor boy must have been absolutely frantic once the adrenaline wears off ... then they will often just plod along , hoping to find something familiar ... Now that you know what can happen... perhaps some different fencing to keep him safe? - as there will be another 12 years of potential scary loud noises

he learnt his toilet spot very well :) you taught him where to go ... If there is no rain forecast , esp if you are home.. leave the porch closed. Put some sort of bed out for him ... Any time you see him toilet outside, lots of praise ...he just has to relearn..... does he toilet when you take him for walks? if 'yes' then every time he starts, use a word ..."toilet", or "Quick", or whatever, and say it calmly and quietly while he's doing what he has to ..then praise him. Do this every time...then say it as you think he's about to toilet ....etc etc. You will eventually be able to encourage him in teh yard ...or anywhere :)

What I do is surface spray around the outside of the aviary ..a strip of around 15 cm. I do around out aviary/cat run regularly.keep sprayer around 30 cm off ground..and you can also use cardboard cartons up against the mesh as a barrier to spray drift.Do spraying when it's calm/cool . also.. don't leave food out ..just long enough for cats to eat ..and feed up on a shelf/table .
