Ok.. may I suggest now that he starts getting a nice lactose free yoghurt , and some Inner health Capsules, perhaps- to help him heal & restart . .... I'd not give any oil ..if he's not digesting heavy stuff..then teh oil may have a laxative effect if he's tolerating teh chicken/rice ..then maybe give him 3 or 4 smaller meals ... so there is less of a load , and time to digest it before the next meal?

allergies and intolerance can be different ... he may just need more time for his gut lining and digestive bacteria etc to heal properly. What was the actual diagnosis - his illness was caused by what? Virus? Bacteria? Other? This may be important in working out what best to feed...and what to use to help him. Bones may be causing injury to new and tender gut lining Ouch!... sorry about your cat as well can you source free range /organic fresh for her? maybe you need to seek another opinion ....so you are comfortable with information you receive. ..

'Milk Rash' sounds a very old name ..and was possibly used waaay back, to describe this problem in puppies who were still nursing off the dam?
-
The pustules etc sounds likepyoderma to me ..and hopefully the vet can supply the correct AB's to fix 'em up quickly :)

Nice flutterby! :)

On leash/long line until his recall is 110 % ..and he will listen to you, even when his attention seems elsewhere. With this behaviour,he will be chastised none-too-gently by an owner or a dog at some stage ....and it will not be pleasant for you.

Dog Allergy Vet Disappointment Again!
persephone replied to booge's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
My guess is they are in capsule form so that this form of the active ingredient gets released where it needs to be released . As there is no taste to a sealed capsule , I find there is usually little resistance to slipping into a treat, or coating with butter and poking down :) -
maybe ask DOLer, Lilli ?

Buster is very lucky that the thieves had a sense of humour, and left his toys in place of the TV instead of scaring/injuring him! :)

persephone replied to Staffyluv's topic in General Dog Discussion
back in the old days .. (late '70s) when I was renting ...the not terribly proficient child raising neighbour and I put some barbed wire along the fence to stop his wild children going back & forth yes, it worked. -
