  1. The link doesn't work "[#10342] We could not determine which forum this topic is in." Oh.. yes, sorry . It was about cat runs etc .. home made, cat mc mansions ..all sorts to keep indoor cats safe outdoors :) (and to stop owners tearing their hair out at clawed flyscreens & things!!
  2. LOL !! Love the walking on water one ! What a happy lot of doggies ,and a great park!!
  3. Oh..and some ideas for your cat when you move ;) LINK have fun researching your new dog ..... :)
  4. Hoping today's appointment was worth it, and that you now know more .
  5. When you get a puppy, the breeder should advise on the food to use immediately . It's best to stay on the breeder's recommendation for a while, to avoid tummy upsets - then, if the food is unsuitable, or you need to change, you can gradually swap . So, chat to the breeder first :)
  6. :) just give him less if you're worried ... a small wing, instead of a larger one ; one ,instead of two .....
  7. :) taking the time & effort to chew and savour is preferable to a 10 second hoovering of whatever's in a bowl, yes :D
  8. which is why I prefer using whole wings for small dogs ..and turkey necks.wings for bigger dogs.
  9. Whenever we get a litter .. there are sometimes those who never make it ..To keep/pass on a dog with fear/anxiety, or aggression/bullying probs is irresponsible , and I will not do it. It used to be done so much more -yes- In a previous life we had as a client a gundog breeder - who always had the most gorgeous fat, calm and confident puppies ..and whose dogs were used as they should be ,and were sought after . It wasn't for quite some time that I learned he was a ruthless culler; for a short time I was appalled - but then realised all his pups we saw/vaccinated /etc were just the best ! :) Same with a BYB'er of fluffies ... his pups were always brilliant temperaments and healthy , for the same reason . he only kept what he thought were the best.
  10. Hi :) No need to chop chicken necks .. that 's why dogs have teeth! ..a good sized chicken neck or wing is great chewing for a puppy - keeps them occupied and exercised for some time . he doesn't need mince at all, unless he's unwell , or has lost a lot of teeth ... chicken wings, frames (cut into 1/4's) , lamb flap pieces, beef ribs/oxtails.. he will appreciate them all! he will also benefit from the addition of things like eggs, sardines, half apples to play with/chew,...
  11. what an awful worry ..No helpful ideas from here , just s
  12. Must be 5 o'clock somewhere ! Oh Dear .... it's catching!!!
  13. ;) I have used a similar principle with a dog which was stand offish with others in the run ( around 6 dogs shared a run) I put on a collar & leather leash ..then put dog back in run. All being young labs , of course, everyone wanted to grab the leash ... so they did , and the unwilling playmate , after a minor freak at first , eventually got the idea , and ended up playing tug-o-war , tail wagging ... It was his choice - to remain standing, and be pulled around ...to follow ... to interact and be more in control , and have fun.. Flooding isn't ideal in many instances ... but I must admit to it being a godsend sometimes!!
  14. The bruising .... couple of wild guesses here ... some access to a mouse/rat poison resulting in internal bleeding ? is thee any chance she was attacked/beaten up badly by cat/dog ..or could she have gotten stuck somewhere and had to work at getting out ?
  15. ..and where are the photos? :p I know you have so much time to sit around & take photos ....... ;)
