LOL!! Unfortunately, Vitamin S is addictive, and can change a normally well mannered pup into one who will stop at nothing to obtain a 'fix' It is best to provide something which will give the dog a fix .. without being so dangerous . the following, with a similar effect to Vitamin S can be easily administered , and , with complete withdrawl from the Vit.S , can still provide a dose of a comparable reaction. LINK excerpt Quick and Informative Intro to SLR Lenses for Beginners DL Cade ยท Oct 10, 2013 The world of camera lenses can be a bit daunting when you first start out, and so a videographer and photographer have joined forces to put together a fun (and funny) introduction to all the basic lens options, what they do, and what situations you might use them in. The video is useful for the video and photo junkies among us, as we get both the videographer and photographer perspective. They cover everything from fast lenses, to telephotos, to wide-angle lenses, to fish-eye lenses.

..sometimes, it backfires, tho. We used to have two inside dogs - Sam, a large GSDXGoldn Ret ..and Mitch, cocker X Both were scroungers. There were beds under the kitchen table .their 'lair' One day I saw Sam very delicately grab a cutting board off the draining board/sink. On the cutting board was a decent sized chunk of meat .He balanced it beautifully ,as it must have been awkward and heavy ... and carried it to his bed under the table ............ Whereupon Mitch said "Ta, mate!" And took the meat off the cutting board- leaving poor Sam holding an empty board ....and wearing a surprised expression! It was priceless :)

...or maybe set up a camera , if you need evidence?

Probably need a bigger crate, but we made a fox/cat trap from a mesh dog crate ..on its side , so the door swings DOWN...followed by a wire rod which locked it into place . Door closure was triggered by the animal grabbing at bait hung inside. We haven't had it out for a while, but it worked fine! Free feed a few times, whichever trap you use ... then when animal is comfortable .. set it.

Any animal, be it 2 legged or 4 legged will show a reaction to things experienced for a first time ..or to a shock/fright :) It's normal . I love watching puppies go 'bug eyed' the first time a cat rolls them over .. or they step in a puddle that's too deep , etc ... Often they will squeal as well .. then go silly with excitement once they discover that they have survived ! :) It's a part of living .....experiencing/growing ... I believe this was not an 'attack' .... and it was not YOU 'letting hank down'.... AS to what these dogs were thinking .. it is probable they were just rushing him to see who he was .. and let him know who they were.... his instinct took over ... that's all. They were all just acting as instinct made them .. they are dogs ......

Unfortunately, it does seem as if the poor older dog will find this very stressful :( All I can suggest is to keep the dogs somewhere where they can both be safe and alone when you are not around . remember the older dog was there first , and it should have first priority on where to sleep/cuddles/ restful space to be .

It's a normal part of dog behaviour .... when we have puppies here , they spend a lot of time on their backs while adults check them out /remind them of their manners ... Think of it like a little kid who visits a family of bigger, ratbag kids ... the little one is bound to be bounced a bit .. and put last in the line for games etc ....

Dougal Cat opened the oven door the other day - and Stan immediately popped in to my mind!!! LOL

zakly! :) not all dogs love other dogs ..and often dogs/puppies will get bowled over/growled at or nipped. It's what dogs do. If he has a wound..get it treated ..but you didn't mention blood or limping or anything .... There are bites, and there are nips and there are 'corrections'/show off bites ... The dogs should not have been off-lead - but just by your description , it seems these two were reminding hank he is a new boy, a youngster, and it's THEIR turf. Scary? Yes. Were you more upset than puppy? DEFINITELY! ;) Puppy pee'd . yep .. that 's what puppies do to show they are little & submitting .....often I find that after a puppy rolls over & pees , then the other dog/s will have a proper sniff .. then seem to say .."Oh" "OK Squirt..no hard feelings ..just Don't come here again"

yes!! Most people are a generation or two removed from DOG as hunter/herder/watchdog who was allowed to bite ........ so they have no idea of how it all works . It has been said before .. some of us in a certain age group used to free-range around suburbs ..as did neighbourhood dogs . We all learned each others' language .. a lot of , the hard way .. but it stuck, and there were rules around dogs , which we followed , so as not to be bitten ! We saw dogs playing/fighting/growling/guarding /biting/herding ....dog body language was absorbed by osmosis, almost .
