Did the RSPCA say why th eCatlle Dog was up for adoption? perhaps he is just not suited to be with other dogs ...perhaps your management skills need help- .... please do NOT rehome the dog ..hand it back to the RSPCA ...and explain why. It is not responsible to pass on problems ;)

LOL..a few dog germs are probably potentially less damaging than what is found in/on shopping trolleys /playgrounds/library books!!! yes- dogs & cats are on the furniture here... the friends with whom I am most comfortable have couches decorated with a dog/cat . At a vets .. I place my dog wherever it is comfortable/safe ..and , for the record .. a lot of dogs 'let it all hang out', without being sexually aroused . Some dogs just have it happen when they sit and relax!

The senile delinquent strikes again!! Old dogs CAN learn new tricks :p I could hear odd noises ... finally found Caillie with the BIGGEST and BEST treat dispenser ever!! When the boss works out bush , he carries dry dog food in one of those water bottles with cap .. safe as houses. yep.

I don't know ... but it could be an infection of some sort ..... best of luck for good things at the vets :)

:) Dogs are opportunists ..they will eat and eat ..esp teenage boys!! may I suggest you try chicken wings, or chicken carcasses instead of necks? I have had, and so have others, instances of chicken necks being swallowed and causing some choking issues ...

I've not had a dog like this ... but the pacing is a result of her nervous system misfiring ..and I would guess that perhaps being crated would not provide an 'outlet' for all that energy? I'd worry that her body would react in another way if this energy could not find an 'escape' perhaps this behaviour is actually brain activity akin to a type of seizure itself? Could you try thundershirt, maybe? Put lavender oil in a burner .... Hopefully you can see a neurologist or someone soon and get some answers.

... :) unfortunately, sometimes when dogs are treated like babies - they respond like babies , refusing ordinary food, throwing tantrums ...that sort of thing ! :)

he is still a pup . he will need teaching as to what your different commands/body movements mean .You have only been together one week!! Have you taught previous pups to be a jogging partner? Do you run on sand , grass , or footpaths? perhaps he is sore ? has he been vet checked?

your little bitch will either have her own puppy .. or no puppy . A soft toy with her pup's scent will drive her batty!! She will KNOW that it smells like her - but is not beinmg a puppy ,and ,if her hormones are all present & correct, will be frantically tryinjg to get pup to move/nurse/make noise ... I could not bear to watch that :( Cut back bitch's food NOW .. and IF she has a normal delivery ..and ,for some reason the poor thing loses her pup ..then just cut back food a bit , keep her active and occupied, and the milk will disappear. Meaning no ( well, not much) disrespect , the things you mentioned sound TO ME like breeding for the sake of it ... not seeing a bond between mum & puppy .....it's a bit like what some farmers do with lambs... ... O...K.... This sounds very much like the &^%$#@@ told to a new owner of a baby MONKEY on a TV doco the other night . "The mothers are over the babies by the time we take them away at THREE DAYS old " Sorry .. perhaps some breeders may not see a problem because they are not looking?? I am tearing up here - thinking of bitches who have lost pups, or had a medical condition where pups had to be removed ... and seeing how upset they were. maiden bitch + singleton may be a bit different ... however , mums & bubs belong together as much as humanly possible.

If your bitch has a c-section .. yes, her hormones will be all over the place .. but removing a pup before she wakes will possibly lessen her grief /distress. Unless the bitch is unwell, or an unfit Mum .. I would not remove her baby ......
