  10. yep. The spookiest was many years ago , dad was working about 40 km away ..and was driving home in the dark.No mobile phones/UHF radios or anything back then .. mum & I were at home , when all the dogs started howling .... eventually dad got home, covered in blood & glass , after a kangaroo had come thru the windscreen ...at the time the dogs had all started howling .....

  14. Hoping it is KC !! ..well...as opposed to bone damage
  15. if you need recommendations- ask on here - not every flashy website means an appropriately experienced person ;) best of luck with it :)
  16. I suspect you could do as well by taking a normal dog crate, preferably with a low roof, and throwing a pile of doonas over it. Alt., bend a piece of weldwire mesh. Advantage: uses stuff you've already got and relatively easy to clean. The beauty of those is that there is no mesh/steel/straight hard walls ;) I am presuming that when a dog curves/stretches that a surface which moulds and moves is more comfortable than mesh ;) I make my own "dog rolls" from foam bed toppers ..rolled into a cylinder , and filled with bedding :)
  17. ..just saw your photo :) yep :) he can gnaw the ends of these ..b ut there are those hard shiny surfaces which sometimes also come away a bit like a half egg ... they slide down easily ..but cannot get thru any further .
  18. The best bones for teeth , are the ones a dog can sit & GNAW his meal off ..using all those sides of his teeth ,as he chews/tears, not crunches .A bit like us chewing corn off a cob - rather than crunching a stick of celery . :)
  19. Ok... with marrowbones- they can come off in sharp edged chunks or splinters on occasion ..when they do cause probs. Millions of dogs eat them ... but .... using things like frozen turkey necks/wings , or whole lamb necks , beef brisket bones are safer - as they don't splinter ..they are not as hard/dense. Anyhow - he needs to visit a vet who just doesn't say "take him home & watch him" ;) & I hope he's feeling comfortable soon. :)
