So Sorry Rozzie ... that is a very long partnership.... Columbus takes with him an awful lot of wisdom to share at the bridge :)
-
...oohh .. a Dog Den in the making . A place of cuddles and cute and comfort - actually it sounds pretty good.
-
yes! Don't give up/in just yet . get on that phone VERY early in the morning ..have all the facts ready ..and seek good advice.
-
There must be someone wise 'in the industry' you can phone/email...............how horrible.

is there any provision to say cancel a lease within 24 hours or something???? That sounds a fail - fail situation I'm sorry.

..and why do you HAVE to change the sleeping on bed habit ? After all - it is something you have now taught him. ... if you wanted him to sleep elsewhere- that's where he should be now - secured ,so he cannot run around teh yard barking all night and learning BAD habits like chasing cats/possums/rats /fence fighting , etc ....
-
:) I LOVE that bed ..great size , and nice walls against which to snuggle , and to help stop drafts . he is a very cute boy :)
-
So sorry . Jessie was such a pretty girl .. and looked to enjoy herself :)

hey! it's YOUR money she is taking - it is YOUR right to ask for a referral :)

The cosy bed is in one end and the other seems to be a tray with a puppy pad. Oh.... might try different glasses - ta rozzie.

I have owned/worked with many many dogs ..and haven't found things like this happening ...yes, maybe our dogs need a few small meals rather then one large ..but our dogs eat the same foods all their lives... I will suggest you find another vet - one who will do blood/urine/faecal tests to actually help find a CAUSE .... By checking all these- the vet and you know what is floating around inside- what is being processed, and how..and what is being excreted .... well worth the cost for a case like this ....
-
..I hope your dog will have collar free time - these seem to me as if they act like a neck brace ... where dog can not curve its neck ..and has a firm/hard edge pressing up behind its ears all the time . What if you measure wrong and get one too long? .... These look a bit more comfortable..and they are sold locally ! CLICK When we are around, and dogs need to not chew- I use a muzzle! much easier and non restrictive , if sized correctly :) perhaps one of THESE would keep you and dog happy ?

..is it just me ..or is that 'potty' looking just like a cosy bed?
-
The happiest cavs I have known were a pack who lived on a small property with cattle, lots of birds to chase away from a vineyard ..and plenty of obedience training . they were also shown!
-
I have only met a few of teh lagotto breed - I fell in love with two who lived at a winery some years back . One was standoffish..one was an absolute darling ..they were there to greet the public etc ..and looked so impressive :) not sure what standard poodle temperament is like now ..but I do remember them as being very smart ..and show offs ..and irresistible :) And, yes to playing with a ball etc!
-
and this is vitally important - he has a companion ..AND access to indoor/outdoor . he is not alone and outside .

Poor old boy. What tests did the vet do to see how his internal workings are working? Very hard to find a food to suit if you do not know what exactly to avoid ....... Can he tolerate eggs - whole raw, or lightly cooked?

Aggression Between Dogs In The Same Household
persephone replied to Salukifan's topic in Training / Obedience / Dog Sports
Happens here .... mostly the boys . one in particular tends to fight first/ask questions later . The bitches only fight very rarely ..but on one occasion have had one end in death by fighting for one , and death by human for the survivor. -
,,don't know if all breeds mentioned are in here- but have a look thru the D O L "dog breeds 101 " :D CLICK here

What attracts you to these very different breeds ? Is there something they have in common? :) Coat/grooming Trainability? supposed intelligence? Size? novelty? health status/lack of possible genetic problems? It's an interesting choice .

I hope it works, but am not sure how a new cream will work if the cause is not known ? is the cream a cortisone type, or an antibacterial/fungal type ? -
lillypilly - what a beauty- and SO close!! :)

My dogs eat the soggy flowers ... one thinks they're a treat :p
-
ouch hopefully you can organise its removal soon - must be very uncomfortable .And getting bloods and a fine needle biopsy would be helpful as well ... there are things which aren't infected which can still be a decided worry ... perhaps you might need to do some reading, so you can talk about it with the vet? If she is licking at it, etc ..it is bothering her ,and is probably painful .

Ah.. makes sense ... thanks.
