It sounds as if you two are meant to be together :) Hope all goes well !! -
whichever - I certainly would not be giving them my money Too many ifs & maybes for me who doesn't know much about the legalities... Vanillan - did you pay a deposit? If you possibly can - ask on here for a reputable and honest breeder of good quality pugs , and look there.

the bit I've bolded looks scary ..does it mean what I think? That if registration papers are not properly provided .. the breeder /seller retains ownership?

;) there is a trick ..the rope will fray & break after not much effort ...so then some other unsuspecting toy can have a turn - piggie is number 3 of the playmates victims -

:) :p -
The dog certainly had a rapid change of mind - which I guess lots of sharp teeth/claws & noise delivered at speed will do !

fairynuff ... however , in my confused way of thinking , whenever a parent leaves a child in comparative safety, then instinctively faces a danger which threatens their child ..they are naturally a substitute/distraction - as the threat /danger has more chance of harming them than their offspring....
-
I read that - but she was also putting herself in the danger zone - without the boy ... she made sure he was able to get to safety ..so, she was sort of a substitute prey ....
-
thinking .... the displays of noise & strength enable an intruder to watch and think ,and decide if a fight is worth it -- or if just leaving quietly is a better option . A hunting stealth mode does not intend to offer a choice to the intended prey - there is but one outcome planned ....

raineth - mother kangaroos will ditch joey and go in a different direction to draw the predator away - p'raps humans have some of this instinct too?
-
I was caught out once like this - with a VERY large bull terrier , who I was photographing ..luckily he was on a chain ..and I had room to step back as it lunged I just didn't read him correctly ..
-
and IMHO this is why people are so shocked - they do not see any sign . Dig is focussed and not agitated ,or doing a threat display ... dog just knows exactly what it is doing ..so keeps that head down ..backbone nice & secure ..and saves its energy for the bite.

love the fact that dog was caught on camera - I have watched it a few times..just to see that change in body stance as teh 'switch' goes straight into hunt . Dog stops fractionally to size up target - then dives onto that leg ... I do hope millions watch it and see just what their doggies are capable of . :) love that cat .....as I love guard cats in general :)
-
Go cat!! :) I think adult was running for help ..shame she left the boy alone though .

have you thought about a blood test to see what's happening in regards to infections?
