  11. Except then you are deliberately triggering the dog to aggress. Not something I'd recommend. can't it just be done with an iPhone as it happens? I certainly do NOT mean to set up a situation - apologies I just thought that if/when it happens next -and there is no imminent danger - they whip out a phone camera and video some seconds worth or something ....
  12. . as said - you need serious "first time , ONLY time" advice . Steve is my first thought - at least contact him by phone/email , and ask his opinion . He may know of someone suited to your situation - but, yes. if you can wrangle it - he has the experience and expertise for all things aggression and large dog . Oh- video some of the behaviours shown ... that is such a good thing to show professionals with whom you are dealing . !! edit to add this does NOT mean setting up a situation !! I just thought you may grab a few seconds worth if/when it happens ... sorry for any confusion ...
  13. Gorgeous shots . What a shame it will be removed You had an encounter of the UFI kind ;) Unidentified flying insect :)
  14. have you tried a second opinion? Sometimes fresh eyes/ideas can be a big help . best of luck ... You can also contact McDowell Herbal. I suggest phoning them ( PHONE 02 6331 3937 ) and talking . They are very helpful ..and can tailor a mixture once they know what meds she is on, diagnosis, diet etc .
  15. def needs professional assessment, yes ! Thanks for the explanation :)
  16. AFAIK the AB's will kill off the good bacteria in teh yoghurt- may be best to use it when he's finished the course . Hope he is feeling much better afterwards :)
  17. T - can you explain any subtle signs before this type of behaviour - or how it is judged as being dominant ? I certainly wouldn't pick it , and would like to understand .... going on what was posted I would suggest fearful aggression....
  18. example : One of my dogs knew a friend well ... one day friend acidentally scared dog - dog would ,forever after show fear aggression when friend and dog were in certain (somewhat confined) situations. Dog was certainly not trying a domination strategy ......and the behaviour was always with this person
  19. yesterday we took some happy snaps of a friends' dogs Did someone say vanilla Slices? Did they? being a male - things can be tricky , but age brings benefits- like snuggling with a teddybear :) after she took off down the yard with my walking stick ! Minus an eye- cone on, and full of a 14 week's old mischief :) cone? what cone ?
  20. Can you have Ace on a leash? That is dangerous to be knocked over
