  1. Oh, Raineth .. gently is a wonderful way to live, and to leave life. I am full of admiration for you & the way you let Digby enjoy his life , and how you allowed him to slowly come to its end . Take care of yourself - x Digby - hope you & your ice-cream covered floppychops are happy over the bridge -

  5. Hi :) How confusing and worrying for you ..trying your best, but not knowing much about how dogs "work" . I am glad you came here to ask . make sure the vet EXPLAINS /writes down what medicines , and what they are for :) Don't be sucked into buying an expensive dog food the vet sells definitely show vet those poo photos . Do NOT let pup touch the ground/floor at the vets - or let other dogs "kiss him" This will help avoid picking up an infection ...and maybe stop anything spreading from him ... keep puppy well away from other dogs - and friends who have dogs at home . IF he has anything nasty - you don't want to spread it around Keep us posted :) I agree STOP googling - if you know very little , it can be so scary !!! ;)
  6. One very sad comment ... the photos are too small!!! ;)
  7. AFAIK , roo tail is spine ..the bone construction isdifferent to leg bones . They are not that dense shiny bone like legs .I do not consider them 'weight bearing bones' . yes, they do act as shock absorbers- they have a thick tissue/fat layer on the undersides..and a large amount of tendons . they are great for dogs - with meat on ..as they provide work for every tooth type :)

  12. Guess it helps with the job , and may mean the difference between life & death - as in pain doesn't distract from clear thinking ....
  13. Just watched all that - Take my hat off to Trent - what composure! Good for him .
  14. this morning I was so pleased - he had somehow acquired a rabbit ..and was busy eating ..but he did eventually come & l 'swap' it for something else - he got it back - but that's an important lesson - and he passed that exam ! :)
  15. He surprises me so often .. :) absolutely the opposite of his sister ( who has now been relegated to "outside" the yard - where the workers live . )
  16. if he loves the ball - what about tricks ? Find the ball under things ... scent trails ..... teach him how to push ball with his nose ..maybe thru an obstacle course? That sort of thing :)
